These kind of nail clippers aren't new to me. I've used similar kinds before and they worked fine. Medium dog, cat clippers are used to clip reptile nails as well. Remember that these clippers loose there sharpness after 6 months (of regular use) and instead of sharpening the blades it is always better to buy a new one.Coming to the clippers, these were brand new and does the job done perfectly.If you're a first time user, remember to only cut a 'little' of the tip. DO NOT attempt a lot at one go. Even a little every week, (or two, if you're lazy) helps. The nail file is pretty good if you ask me. Pet's nails aren't similar to human nails, because of their claws the file shouldn't be too fine and grind away, rather it just needs to polish a bit. Let's face it, you aren't looking for aesthetics when you're cutting the pet's nails. It's more for their well being, their hygiene and for you to be able to hold them. It's a very easy to use nail clipper. Love the locking mechanism. It's sharp and we'll built. Serves the purpose. Haven't used the nail file yet so can't comment on it.It's a good deal at this price.

A very sharp nail cutter, you can even use it to cut mid-size plastic ropes. Be careful and ensure that dog is in a stationary position while cutting the nail. Watch youtube videos about nail cutting tutorials before using the same.DO NOT CUT TOO DEEP OR ELSE IT WILL START BLEEDING. Excellent quality product and worth the price.

Size is ok , but it is not sharp enough to cut nails of my bird

Previously my dog was having difficulty walking because of long nails and it was easily recognisable in his standing posture.I used this nail clipper on my dog, I know for sure that this is a great product because my dog licked me when I cut his nails moreover he was walking as if he was wearing a new pair of shoes.Build quality and grip of this nail clipper is good.I'd recommend buying it.

It's a very good product and very easy to use. I'm very satisfied with it. Most helpful think is that it is a lock system type product which helped me very much not to use wrong way.

Very good product. Safe & sturdy. I used for cutting ingrown thick toe nail of my father ( which was not manageable by normal nail cutter). It was very easy to use, did not hurt at all. Very happy with the purchase.

Easy to use. Have to watch for it's durability though, as I have been using for a few days only now. Overall a decent and satisfactory product.
