Time, money saver!
Excellent flavor, added so much flavor to a soup, great for sauces! This stuff is always great to have on hand, I keep the beef demi glace and chicken always in stock!

Amazing!
I've been using this product for years. When it arrives, I cut in into wedges and freaze them individually. I pull out one to add to whatever I'm making and the depth of flavor is unmistakeable. It adds so much more flavor without having to make my own reductions from stock. They make several types. They're all good. Buying this larger quantity is very cost effective.

Nice addition for soups and stews
For years, I have used Swanson's Chicken broth and loved it. However, some time ago I noticed that it was less and less chicken-y. This past year, I even began to notice a somewhat offensive odor to the broth. The tipping point for me came, however, when I was ill a few months ago and thought that a nice cup of hot chicken broth might be soothing. I gagged on the Swanson's, tossed it out, and as soon as I was feeling better, I packed up all remaining cans of it and delivered them to our local food pantry. Even knowing that some people would appreciate the donation, I still felt guilty about offering this awful tasting stuff. Then, I began looking for a replacement. I read many reviews and decided to try this Classic Roasted Chicken Stock and also Kitchen Basics' broth. Neither is as good as Swanson's used to be, but each is better than the current Swanson's. I'm using both this Glace De Poulet and the Kitchen Basics when I cook -- a little of each. Of course, when I am simmering or stewing chicken, the real chicken flavor from the bird enhances the flavor. I will definitely buy this product again.

Liquid Gold!
This stuff is good! It is far and away superior to the boxed grocery store brands. I make soup every weekend and eat it for lunch all week. My soup has been taken to a new level with this stuff. Also, I know $20 seems like a lot for a little tub of chicken stock, but it is highly reduced. It lasts in the refrigerator for 4-6 months after opening, so you have plenty of time to use it. 1.5 ounces of this stuff makes 4 cups of chicken stock, so you're basically getting the equivalent of 10.5 boxes of the store-bought stuff. Even if you get it on sale, it's at least $2 a box, so this chicken stock is actually cheaper than store bought. I can't wait to try their other products. I also love how this is very low in sodium. I like to be able to control the quality and amount of salt I use. There are no nasty ingredients in this. It is all good stuff and tastes incredible. You will not regret purchasing this!

It's not as good as home-made, but...
...it's one hell of a lot easier.Look, I used to be a professional chef in high-end restaurants. In such houses you always have plenty of ingredients to make great stock and demi glace. You use castoffs, rather than buying ingredients for the purpose; bones, meat and veggie trim end up in a stock pot, which is going almost continuously. And depending on the stock, we were regularly reducing it. Commercial houses generally have the raw materials and the equipment to make it in large batches. And it was better than this stuff. But now that my cooking is home only, the More than Gourmet stuff is fabulous. It's pretty darned close to restaurant-quality, and it's really easy to use. Best part: unlike many concentrated meat bases, even the "good ones" sold at grocery stores, More than Gourmet doesn't overload the product with salt - you can still adjust that in the finished product to your preference. Note: buy the 16-ounce tubs. It keeps well in the refrigerator for months (if you let it last that long, which I don't - I use these products a LOT). The individual packets may be handy, but they're nowhere near as good a value.

Really good pantry staple
Most canned/boxed meat stocks - including the so-called “bone broths” taste like weak dishwater. This glace de. Poulet, as well as the same brand’s Demi-glacé and lamb stock, is terrific. The flavor is good, and the strength is easily regulated by increasing or decreasing the ratio of water to stock concentrate. I usually keep a stockpot for strong brown chicken stock, freezing it in quart packages for risotto, soups, and the like. But this product is very handy if I just need a little chicken stock for a quick pan sauce. This larger package is great to keep in the fridge.

More Than Gourmet Glace de Poulet Gold Roasted Chicken Stock is a real winner in your kitchen. Keep some on hand always.
More Than Gourmet makes just about the best stocks, broths, and glazes available in the marketplace. I have been using them in my cooking for more years than I can recall. They come packaged in large tubs holding about a pint and in smaller packets meant for use in 1 recipe. The quality of the products are such that you would have to spend all day plus in your kitchen roasting bones, boiling them in large stock pots, straining them, and then reducing the resulting broth for hours. I mean, A LOT of work. And the result of all your work probably would not be as good.I had the opportunity to try the Glace de Poulet Gold Roasted Chicken Stock again. I have not been cooking nearly as much as I once did and haven't made use of the concentrated stock for a while. I decided to take up the opportunity and got a pint tub of it. Good move on my part. The directions say to reconstitute the stock reduction at the rate of 1 part to 20 parts of water. So, 1 ounce of the reduction to 20 parts of water to make a lovely stock ready to make soups, cook rice, or for whatever you are making. Easy peasy. You can choose to use just a spoonful to enhance a sauce for a chicken recipe or some other kind of poultry. Add some to the cheese sauce for mac and cheese. Use the ounce measure to make the stock suitable for many different kinds of soup. You don't have to use it only in gourmet dishes; the ordinary meals you prepare during the week will be enhanced by using just a small amount. And that is the way I have been using my supply. But you can be sure, the next time I have guests for dinner, this miracle worker will be put to use. It will enhance the taste of whatever I prepare and make one of my special dishes taste even better.I absolutely recommend this reduced stock product for special cooking, but even more so for everyday efforts for your family or yourself.
