Did not live up to it's rave reviews
I got this system mostly because it had great reviews and it was on sale on prime day. As soon as I started setting it up, right away I had some problems. First of all I have an android phone and it said to download microshare app. Right away it gave me a dozen apps and I didn't know which one to choose. We settled on the first one at the top of the list. After almost 20 minutes of figuring it out, it didn't work, so then we picked the next app that was rated high, again didn't work. Finally my husband found the right app and it was a breeze after that. He hooked it up and I left the settings for the alarm in the middle. After the second day, I have not been getting any alarms at all so I set the PIR alarm on high. I finally was getting notifications but when I go into it, I can't open it and no videos appeared. There's no way for me to know what triggered the alarms. I decided to return it and be done with this system. I am planning on getting a different security system though. On the positive note, they were super quick in getting me my refund. As soon as I dropped the package off at the UPS store, I got the refund the same day.

Good Picture Quality, But ...
Pros and cons:- The daytime picture quality and video quality is really good. Clear and sharp.- The night vision is not very good. Fuzzy and dark.- The app that goes along with the camera is very difficult to understand. The written English is incredibly poor, the instructions, the various settings. I basically have to just click around to try and figure out what things mean, and to try find specific settings I'm looking for.- The camera's motion detection works ONLY if set on HIGH sensitivity. Does not work on Intermediate or Low. This means the camera turns on and records video if a bird happens to fly by or if my distant flag waves in the breeze - which causes the battery to drain more quickly.- The battery ... it says this battery is supposed to hold a charge for like 160-365 days. The LONGEST I've been able to have this camera in use without having to take it down and charge it (over and over and over) again is just under 4 weeks.- Speaking of taking the camera down ... the design of the base attachment to the camera is bad. It's really awkward to unscrew the camera from the base when it needs charged. Even more awkward is screwing it back onto the base if the base is attached to the house.I really wanted to love this camera - I got it on Prime Day. But if I had it to do over again - sorry - I'd purchase a different one.

Don't play well with dual band routers
I have a dual band router. I isolated these cameras to the 2.4ghz band. They never connect after multiple tries, over a period of a few days. So I sent them back.

Poor product
I have had this camera for a few days and am planning to return it. I am not saying that everybody who decides to buy it will experience the same difficulties/problems with this camera as me but I will point out what was wrong with mine. The camera needs to be charged first. The micro usb input is a bit deep and close the the plastic edge and it is hard to plug even the provided cable. If you have your own cables, many of them probably will not even fit into the opening. Then there is no indication light anywhere on the camera that gives up you an idea if the camera is charging ( but if you turn it on during the charging and connect to the app, the app will show the charging percentage).Another problem is with the memory card. Once you insert it you can not take it out. There is no click. It is just stuck in the slot. I was lucky to somehow have managed to take it out with a pin. I know I inserted the card the right way as the camera read the card, formatted it and showed the correct capacity. Now the main problems I could not live with (they all seem to be caused by the software ( the app that is not ready for the end user):The motion detection only works in high sensitivity mode. If I put it in medium, the camera does not read any motion at all. Even if you move right in front of the camera. The setting to record onto the card after the motion is detected works badly. You get the notification on the phone that the motion is detected but when you try to find the recorded video it is not there (the setting is set as needed). All in all I can not recommend this camera as it has physical/design shortcomings as well as software readiness issues.
