Absokutwly. If the 14 year old users a computer and Ableton or Fl Studio to compose music, then I think this would be a wonderful thing to get them.

Yes but you'll need a script like launchpad95. It works on ableton but I'm not sure if the script is just ableton.

You need to use it with a computer. There's no speaker and there's no way to store your samples.

i tried to finish my question but used too many words i guess. is this everything you need and can my kid get a book to learn how to use it?

I bought this for my son who will be 15 in December. I cannot answer if there is a book...I hope there is some kind of "learning" aid, as the reviews say it is difficult to learn. I have faith as my son is pretty resourceful.

Really cool product. Using it for ableton production and djing in ableton. It actually does more than i had expected. Price was more than i had wanted to spend but I'm cheap and compared to other controllers it really is priced well.

and the knobs have a nice heavy, quality feel to them

i spent enough time researching controllers for clip launching that when i finally settled on this one, it has ended up serving the exact purpose i intended it for. solid build, no latency, the buttons respond to touch very well, and the knobs have a nice heavy, quality feel to them. once i've got my music projects mapped out as desired, i will more than likely be purchasing a second one.

Cette article est parfait mais n'étant pas super a l'aise avec ableton live je doit avouer éprouver des difficultés a l'utilisation du launch Control. Je recommande donc a tout débutant de ne prendre qu'un Launchpad.
