Prep before you paint. READ THIS!
OK, SOOOOO skeptical here because I have been suffering with toe nail fungus for 31 years. I was a lifeguard in college and kids and girlfriends always made fun of it. I was always embarrassed by it. I went to the doctor 12 years ago and they told me they needed to permanently surgically remove my toenails...No thank you. I was given a bottle of something to take for a year but did not want to risk any liver issues since I'm a "Joe six pack" kind of guy so that option was out. I have been "cutting" or trimming my nails with a Dremel tool with a barrel sander attachment for about 15 years now. That being said, I think the Dremel tool is the KEY! . I carefully sanded down all my nails down to nothing and then painted the stuff on twice a day. I also put some on my itchy cracked feet after reading tips from other users. It has been two weeks now and I just showed my feet to my wife who COULD NOT BELIEVE IT! NO, it has not disappeared TOTALLY yet (just 2 weeks) and I'm sure I have a way to go but my feet are clearing up and feeling softer and not itchy. Also, in the shower, I cleaned a lot of the dead skin off my feet and toes daily with a pumice stone shaped like an egg. It takes the dirty rough skin off and leaves behind clean soft skin that is probably better for treatment since the hard outer shell of tough feet probably is not going to accept this liquid as readily. Same concept with the Dremel sanding on the nails...if you try it be careful but think about it, you'll get there faster and the Fungi Cure liquid will get deeper into the nail bed where it needs to go. I would not expect that this stuff would work as well without a little prep work.

I Think It Works
I've been using Fungicure daily along with Vapo-Rub (generic store brand) for nine months. One half of the nail (big toe) from the nail bed out looks great. So, I think it is working but until the toe nail grows out completely I won't know for sure. Also, what role did the Vapo-Rub play-?? So, every morning I wash my toe with isopropanol (isopropyl alcohol) and put antibiotic ointment on the skin just down from the nail bed on the top of the toe. Cover that with a fabric bandage-Walmart 1". Then I brush on (flood) Fungicure around the cuticle sides, nail bed and the tip under the nail. I keep the nail trimmed back as far as I can. Then I use a Q-tip to paint the toe with Vapo-Rub. I then put another bandage over the tip of the toe and another around the nail. (Three bandages.) Then I wrap the toe with paper tape. I do this every morning (no skipping) and as I said the nail from the bed halfway out looks clear and isn't thickened like the oldest part of the nail. We'll see in another six months or so-but my guess is that something is working. This takes me five-ten minutes every morning. The podiatrist suggested Vapo-Rub after I declined the drug that has the possibility of liver damage.

Arrived in hardened/crystalized form with brush stuck in the hardened mass!
I have been fighting this toenail fungus with those pens and they did not work so I ordered this hoping it would help. The photos reflect how it looked when it arrived and the start of my toenails. I placed the bottle in boiling hot water and the stuff did melt down, but I don’t know if it will work now or not. I got this as soon as the UPS dropped it off and it was in the mid 40’s outside, so it’s not like it was frozen. The expiration date was no problem either. I want something to work so I am going to go ahead and try it. I stuck the brush back into the slot where it supposed to go inside the lid. I came very close to returning it and probably should have, but I don’t want to wait on another one. I got it because of the active fungus treatment ingredients’ percentage strength. Very disappointed in how this arrived and there’s no link to contact the seller!

Don't overthink it, the stuff really does work on nails
I read some of the reviews, and I read the label too where it says it isn't effective on nails. But it is very effective. I had one toenail that was truly ugly, discolored, thick, and lots of scaly stuff under it. Had it for years and never really did much about it, out of sight out of mind. Finally I decided it was enough and started looking for something over the counter that might work. I bought a similar product that had a lot of oils in it and 10% undecylenic acid. It was working a bit but I wanted something less thick that would flow under and around the nail. This product met that requirement and had 25% undecylenic acid. I have used it for three weeks now and the change to the nail is dramatic. Color is almost back to normal, thickness is reduced and it is beginning to look normal again. For the folks that say it doesn't work, this particular acid is effective on certain fungi but might not be effective on the one they have. If you have a susceptible fungus, it will help. First, do a heavy prep. I took a recommendation from one reviewer and ground the nail down with a dremel tool, then scrubbed it with a pumice stone to expose as much of the nail bed as possible without causing pain. Don't be shy about it, grind that thing down with whatever you have around the house. If the nail is bad, most likely its already separated from the nail bed and prepping it to expose the nail bed won't hurt. In my case I removed about half of the nail. Second, apply heavily and often, and let it soak in and dry out before putting the socks on. This stuff will create an inhospitable environment for the fungus and will soak into the skin and under and around the nail. For me, I'm impressed, the remaining discolored portion of the nail has already cleared, the nail bed is clear and healthy, and it is beginning to grow out normally. Good product, easy to use, high concentration of active ingredient, in short it worked and worked quickly.
