Let me start by saying, my issue isn't whether or not the microscope works - it definitely does! My issue is my first impression of the quality of the product. I received this on September 28th and began using the next morning. Everything was going great - I was even starting to see the transitional ferning pattern. The morning of October 9th I went to do my test as I had done the previous mornings and was unable to focus the microscope at all. I pulled my eye away and noticed the lens you look through had detached itself from the plastic casing and was sitting sideways in the tube, I unscrewed the part it sits in and used a q-tip to push it back into place and it immediately fell back down so it doesn't appear that I can fix it. I feel that paying $30 for something I got to use for a week and a half is a huge ripoff if this is the norm. Bottom line - it works but it doesn't seem to last very long. I've sent an email to the company I purchased from to see if an exchange would be possible. Will definitely edit and raise the stars if it is as I feel it's a great product, hoping I just got a defective one. **EDIT 2/10/16** After emailing the company they immediately sent me a replacement for free and I've been using it ever since with no issues. It appears the original one I received was just defective. I highly recommend purchasing this if you're ovulation tracking, I use this along with the LH strips to check each other but this one is much cooler and science-y!

I had the MaybeMom ovulation microscope and used it for two pregnancies - it worked great. Until the bulb blew. Since it was inexpensive, I went online to buy a new MaybeMom. They are out of business. So I did a search on Amazon, and came across this brand. I was so excited to try my new microscope, only to find the little green light to be positively BLINDING! I tried to return it, because it is 100% unusable. The company wrote me back suggesting I take it apart and put a small piece of TOILET PAPER over the bulb to dim the light. What?! I have to jerry-rig this product to make it FUNCTION?! After another round of clarification emails between us (where exactly do I put this piece of toilet paper?), I followed the instructions to insert said piece of toilet paper and the magnifying glass lens piece fell out. Now I have to shake it around like one of those old fashioned kids toys with the ball bearing you try to get through the maze, to get it to work. I am going to try once again to return it, however am guessing that I will next receive instructions on how to glue it back together, or some other homemade "trick" I can use to get it to work. I am extremely underwhelmed by this product, and their customer service. I would certainly not purchase again, and would not recommend to friends.

Okay so I know this product is NOT intended as a contraception device bit I figured heck if you can use it to get pregnant, you can use it to avoid getting pregnant too. After two babies and still breastfeeding I was not in a hurry to go back to hormonal birth control so I started researching other options. I know the rhythm method has its drawbacks but this has provided invaluable data on my cycle and when I am actually ovulating. We obviously avoid intercourse during that period (a few days before and after, just to be sure) and have had no problems for the last two years. It is easy to use and easy to track my cycle. To clarify I am happily married and fully willing to accept any consequences that may result from misuse of this product, but it gives us a nice edge on natural family planning. I reccomended this handy little tool to all my friends looking for natural alternatives. ****update***** Kiddos are 7 and 5 and still managed not to have another. Product still works great!

Green light is awful, too bright and hard to see. This works pretty good as far as the magnification, but your bathroom vanity light or phone light will work better. Have to mess around with the amount of saliva to use, I wasn’t using enough at first. Drives me nuts that you can’t stand this little device on-end because the cap is curved and the bottom end has the button for the light sticking out. And the cap falls off all the time because it’s a very loose fit. This product is not the first of this kind I have used, and I would say this version has some design flaws.

Love it. Very clear and easy to use. Usually i get strong ferning a few days before i get a positive on a urine ovulation stick so it gives you a heads up a few extra days beforehand.

When i buy this product. It was working fine. But after a month, It stops giving me proper reading. What if I want to replace this product....?

This saved my OPK sanity. Traditional OPK never work for me, but the ferning microscope without fail has predicted my ovulation each cycle I've used it. It is also useful to watch for your estrogen spike around 5-9 DPO which causes a temp dip. So many women get excited thinking it is an implantation dip when it is estrogen, which you can see in the ferning pattern of your microscope..

Don’t waste your money on this product. I have used the maybe baby ovulation saliva test with very good results. I bought this one to compare and it has not shown me anything. It’s as if the lense is not working as the image shown is the same if there is saliva or no saliva.. but as I am using a comparable product and going through fertility treatment I know exactly what should be showing and this product unless I have a faulty one is a waste of time and money.
