Both kids use these every day - over 6 months so far - with no problems!
I bought 2 of these: lilac and navy. My kids both pack lunch every day, and with the rare occasion that they take soup or other warm food, they use these containers exclusively. No leaks, EVER. Yes, they're tough to close, but both kids (6 and 11) bring home their containers closed, so obviously they're able to handle it themselves. I wash the containers by hand - fill with hot soapy water, close the lid, shake for 15-20 seconds, open and rinse. Good to go! Pros - no leaks, good compartment sizes (except for large sandwiches - see below). The height inside the compartments is enough that I can pack small condiment-size containers if needed. The utensil compartment is great for sending little notes to your kids (it's a great size for mini candy bars too!). Also, customer service is awesome - the first time my daughter used this, she lost the fork. I contacted the company, and for minimal cost, I replaced the fork, and ordered an additional set. The representative, Heather, replied promptly, and I had the new utensils within days. Cons - almost none, except that sandwiches on full-size/thickness bread can be hard to fit. I make all our bread, so I just slice it thinly. But sturdier, thicker slices might be an issue. If your kids only takes half a sandwich (like my 6 year old), it's not an issue. I also can't fit a water bottle in the lunchbox with this container - I have to pack it in the outside mesh pocket (the kids have LL Bean soft-sided lunch boxes).

Great no leak lunch box
This bento box has been an excellent lunch box for my 8-year-old daughter. The multiple compartments are perfect for portioning out veggies, fruits, proteins, snacks, and even a small treat. I’ve also found the utensil compartment handy for storing extra items since my daughter misplaced the original utensils. One of the best features is that, even after six months of daily use, there has been no leaking between compartments. This makes it ideal for packing condiments, applesauce, yogurt, and similar items without any mess. We do hand wash it instead of putting it in the dishwasher. Even so, the lid has become slightly harder to align and snap all four locks closed over time. It’s also important not to overfill the compartments, as stacking items too high can prevent it from closing completely. Despite this, my daughter has had no trouble opening or closing it herself. She loves the pink color and is already excited to get the purple one for next school year. Overall, this bento box has held up well and is both practical and durable. I highly recommend it and plan to purchase another one soon!

Great for lunch!
I purchased the Bento-Box Lunch-box Containers for my two children. The containers have been a fantastic addition to our daily routine. The six compartments are perfect for packing a balanced meal with various foods. It's easy to portion out fruits, veggies, proteins, and treats, ensuring my kids get a well-rounded lunch. However, there have been a couple of minor issues. My younger son has had some difficulty securing the lid. It requires a bit of strength and precision, which can be challenging for little hands. I've had to help him a few times to ensure his lunch stays intact. Additionally, after several rounds in the dishwasher, I noticed slight distortion due to the heat. The fit isn't as snug as when we first received the containers, but they are still functional and keep food separate and secure. Despite these minor hiccups, the Bento-Box Lunch-box Containers have proven to be a solid investment. My kids love the bright colors and the variety of foods they get daily. As a parent, I appreciate the convenience and the peace of mind of knowing they eat a balanced meal if I forget to wash them out the night before than I have to resort to using five plastic baggies per child's lunch, which is not great!

ITS A MAGIC DISAPPEARING LID BENTO
Okay let me start out by saying the lid literally DISAPPEARED LIKE POOF GONE FOREVER! i washed the dishes one night woke up and the lid was NOWHERE to be found i trashed the whole kitchen trying to find it! So i had to buy a WHOLE NEW ONE because my kiddo liked it so much. And ofc we have other bentos but this one is like the best. Literally. Only thing i dont really like is that its kinda hard to open from the sides and on god please dont put anything oily because it WILL STAY THERE FOREVER NO MATTER HOW HARD OR HOW MUCH I SCRUB. It has very good proportions for my 6 year old in kindergarten now he eats a little of everything all the time so this is perfect because I can pack many different choices of food for him. Since I ordered a new one I'll keep ya'll updated on how it goes and if it breaks. But I'm not gonna lie if they wanna like give me a lid for my other one I wouldn't be opposed because I cannot find that missing lid anywhere and everyone swears they don't know where it went!

Cute, but with a huge flaw
This is such a good lunchbox. But they get ruined so quickly. The top gets warped in the dishwasher, even on the top rack. I can barely close them anymore.

Lid does not shut
Update: I recieved a replacement for the defective item and right off the bat the customer service is amazing! A mom started this company/product and I can tell she and her team totally understand the need for quality and functionality! I was told to hand wash it every time which is fine, not the end of the world for me and I can tell that when I use super hot water it does warp the lid a bit so I stick to warm soapy water. Their new lunch bag design is also very sleek and and streamlined, my daughter loves the iridescent Quality to the exterior fabric. I do wish it had a way to add a water bottle and an ice pack but I know that wasnt really their goal with the lunch bag. We're 6 months into using it and I still love it. 12/28/18 Original review: I really liked this- the first week and even though I've hand washed this after every use the lid will not realign anymore and i cannot close the lid without putting my entire body weight on it and forcing the snaps shut. If I, a grown woman, cannot sit it without difficulty, my 6 year old is sure to struggle or just give up and throw everything in the lunch bag leaving me with a mess. Not cool. I've contacted the seller and hope to hear back from them.

My Son & I Love It!
My son wasn’t too excited to return to school after this extremely long spring/summer break, but, for some reason, this product made him excited. He said they are so cool, and he can’t wait to show them off to his buddies. Honestly, anything that gets my 7 year old excited for school deserves 5 stars! But the products really are great. They are sturdy, it seals really well, food in each compartment isn’t able to run and leak into other compartments because they are each sealed. I think that is amazing because we always ran into that issue. By the time he got to lunch, everything had mixed all up and was gross (and the clean up at the end up of the day was enough to make you yack!). It’s easy to use and easy to clean. Make sure you know to not put the top in the microwave or the dish washer. You’ll have to make sure your child knows to always take it off when heating their food up, and you have to hand wash the top, but that isn’t a big deal to me. I would have done that anyway to make sure it was really clean. The reason why they say to not put the top in the dishwasher is to keep the seals in working order, and I don’t want them to stop working! Oh, the bigger one comes with pretty durable fork and spoon, and the smaller one comes with a spork. They are thicker and more durable than throw away utensils, so they aren’t all flimsy and breaking whenever you use them. They fit perfectly in the boxes. The boxes themselves also fit perfectly into my son’s lunchbox. It’s just a great set of products. The big one is perfect for lunch, and we use the smaller one for break, which is their breakfast in the mornings. Definitely something we will buy again, but I don’t think we’ll have to buy replacements for a long time.

Not really made for use by kids.
I really wanted to love these. I got the set of two full size and two mini size lunch boxes. They would’ve been perfect because the sizes are perfect. The full size box would hold everything you need, and the minis would’ve been great for healthy snacking with plenty of choices. Unfortunately, they are a nightmare for kids to operate. I have a 5.5 year old starting kindergarten. I had him practice opening and closing these. It took a lot of practice, but I was still not satisfied that he’d be able to operate these consistently. It’s not just about opening them, it’s also the fact that they’re very difficult to close. And if you don’t do it perfectly, items will leak out for sure. Cons: When opening these air tight lunch boxes: The air tight seal also means air gets trapped inside and creates a seal that is difficult to break for children (even adults have to use elbow grease). Kids will manipulate the box and surely items will fall out unexpectedly when the seal breaks. When closing: You have to line up the deal exactly, or it won’t close. And if you manage to close two of the four tabs, you’ll be again stuck with a seal that would need to be broken. Then try again to close it so all tabs line up. The lids are NOT dishwasher safe. So those need hand washing daily. They will warp in the DW. So if that’s not your thing, skip these. Pros: These will work for adults. We can look past the bother of having to pry them open, and line up all tabs to close. They will fit a ton. They are very nice looking. The mini boxes are ideal for a variety of snacks with their many compartments. I wish they came in neutral colors for adults. All 4 of mine are going back.
