Run by the grandson of the founder, Haflinger is known in many international markets for not only its boiled wool slippers and wool felt clogs, but more importantly for its outstanding quality and workmanship. In 1991 Gerda Hoehm began importing Haflinger into the U.S. and Canada and the company has since doubled and tripled sales from year to year--our footwear has been extremely well received in North America. Although the recipe for reliable footwear and superior wool has not changed since the early days of Haflinger, the line has evolved its product offering to include a range of styles--children's slippers and clogs, wool-felt cork-bottom clogs, hard- and soft-sole slippers, and our newest sandal and clog line, the Trend Collection. Whether you prefer the classic Grizzly clog, our breathable, comfortable boiled-wool slippers, or our fresh, new Trend styles, Haflinger footwear consistently treats your feet to the best! See more

Very disappointed
Very disappointed with these slippers. I have planar fasciitis and these slippers used to provide wonderful support. I've been wearing this same model for over 5 years, and only in the last year have they not provided enough arch support. They must have modified the manufacturing process recently, as the last 3 pair that i bought were not supportive on my feet. I have a couple of pair of Vionic shoes and just purchased my first pair of their slippers. If the slippers provide the same support as their shoes I, I won't be buying any Haflinger again. Sad, as Haflinger used to be so great.

Disappointing & poor quality - all for a hefty price and a tricky exchange policy!
I conducted research to find a highly rated women's slipper for my wife; wanted to get a quality product as a Christmas gift. Purchased on 15 Dec through Amazon, she first wore these on 25 Dec; by 1 February the entire stitching on the top had started to come undone. Amazon exchange period ceased at 40 days so we missed that but HAFLINGER boasts a 60 day return/exchange policy! EXCEPT, they tell you to go through the vendor.....who has a 40 day policy (Gotcha!).HAFLINGER did promptly respond to our inquiry about an exchange telling us they do NOT have repair facilities and "the life expectancy of [their] slippers depends entirely on wear and tear." So, if you accept that the stitching ON TOP of your slippers can reasonably wear out after 37 days I'd encourage you to purchase these slippers. In the words of my wife, "my inexpensive DEARFOAM slippers have all their stitching in tact after years? Very disappointing, I almost never write reviews but think it's important other people aren't disapointed like we are. After trying 3 different sizes, I still think these are the best slippers I have ever owned!
I purchased 3 different sizes in this slipper after reading reviews and not sure if they would be too big or too small. I would consider myself a 8.5/9 in my regular shoe size. I purchased a 39, 40, and 41 and never plan on wearing socks with these slippers. The 39 was definitely too small and could easily check that off my list. The 41 felt slightly too big, but maybe could work?? I was worried that if they stretched at all they would be annoying and hard to keep on my feet. The 40 initially felt a wee too snug in the back. I felt the back of my heel rubbing against the stitching and frankly didn't know what to do. I continued to read more reviews and many people seemed to face the same problem and all said that after wearing the slipper over 24 hours the slipper stretched slightly and molded to their foot. Well, I made the decision and picked the 40. I wore them around the house, and sure enough, within an hour or so the rubbing went away and my foot fit perfectly in the slipper. They are now hands down the best slippers I have ever worn.I have only ever worn shearling-lined slippers in the past and was super skeptical about these being able to keep my feet warm. However, my heel would always wear-down the shearling after a year and they would become uncomfortable to walk on. I've tried Ugg, Cabela's, LLBean - all the same. These keep my feet soooo warm! I think better than shearling. I also like the foot support these slipper give and the rubber-soled bottoms are going to last a long time. I highly recommend these slippers!

Not worth the money
I really needed a good pair of slippers and happened upon these. I thought I was crazy paying so much for a pair of slippers but I got them and have worn them every day since! One of the best features for me is that my feet don't sweat in them! I am not usually a sweaty person except for my feet but not in these. They are just perfect.Update: Not so perfect and I can't believe I reviewed them so quickly. They lasted about 1 month without wearing a hole in one toe and another few weeks another hole. They pill easily. I needed durable slippers to wear every day on my hardwood floors. When I found these in a pile of things to giveaway I thought it appropriate to update my review. While I bought them 3 years ago, I haven't worn them in 2 1/2. Better quality with Clark or Sketcher fi you want something durable.

Greatest slipper arch support!
This is my second pair of Halfinger boiled wool slippers. The ones I have - for years now - I am still wearing, but finally wearing through the toe on my right foot. The only difference is that the old pair does not have a hard sole. I like the new ones, but they are not quite as comfortable. I put the fit of this product as "somewhat small" only because of the one issue: I have a very high instep and the new ones are tighter over the middle of my foot. The rest of the slipper fits as expected. I bought the original pair because I read reviews about this slipper helping the pain of plantar fasciitis. Of course I have had many other slippers, but none provided the same arch support and didn't alleviate the heel pain. I can honestly say that I no longer have the heel pain, whether it was actually the arch support of the slippers or that I stopped running around barefoot (which is #1 no-no if you have plantar fasciitis)... whatever the reason, the pain and discomfort is gone. I am sure that the new pair will eventually stretch a little more over my instep and I will love as much as my old pair. It is a nice looking slipper and comfortable overall.

Great slippers until it falls apart
I bought these based on the top review from thewirecutter.com. For about 2 years, these slippers were the absolutely amazing, warm, comfortable — all positive feelings, the Haflinger fit the bill. Until the wool liner in the foot pad literally peeled off one random day. I wear these only indoors: very light duty and usage. While paying premium price and superb materials, the lack of durability was such a disappointment.Overall the best slippers ever purchased, until things start peeling off for no good reason. I strongly suggest to pass on these over-priced items.

So cozy
I love these slippers, I wear them nearly everyday. They are starting to show some wear and tear but i'm not bothered by that. The soles are very comfortable and I would def recommend! As others said, they do mark the wood floors, but comes right off.

These are practical and comfortable. The second pair I've had although they never seem to wear out. They have a small raised lip behind the heel so don't slip off while you're walking downstairs. They are not too hot and the rubber sole allows one to step outside without getting your feet wet.

These are pretty much everything they're cracked up to be
These are pretty much everything they're cracked up to be. I'm a 9.5 so I ordered a 43 and to start I was worried that they were a little snug, but once they break in they fit very comfortably.

I love these and it totally healed my planters faciitis
I love these and it totally healed my planters faciitis, However I have two pairs and both pairs got holes in the toes at 6 months... I patched them but still for the price I would expect them to last longer.
