Canon RF 24–240mm F4-6.3 is USM Lens, Black

I bought this lens to be a lens for use while traveling, so that I don't have to take my 100-400 L series lens, which is big and heavy - but technically an excellent lens. The 100-400 is my most used lens, but walking around with it is difficult, ths this small lens with a wider zoom range - 24-240 is a heckuva lot! Typically to get this coverage I carry a Canon 24-105, and the 100-400. This one 24-240 lens does almost anything I need while casually shooting while traveling. True, it is not a long (400 vs 240 mm) and the aperture is variable vs fixed f/4 but for casula snaps it will be more than adequate. After only a few dozen photos, I'm quite pleased with the image quality. It is heavier than a typical wide zoom range kit lens, a testament to glass elements and metal in the construction. The focus is very quiet, snappy on my R6. The picture of the lens shows the ability of the 24-240 to focus at close range, the Orchid shows the nice bokeh ( background blur) at 150mm

It is a great travel lens for the money. It is light and fairly small, with a wide field to long zoom capablility, so you can get by with one lens for a wide variety of applications from shooting landscapes, rooms, portraits, and even whale watching trips. The biggest issue is that low cost means small diameter lenses and therefore the F6.3 at 240mm for overcast days outside will require higher ISO and/or lower shutter speeds - which may cause a problem for moving animals or birds in flight. The sharpness is very good below F18, and optimal around F10.

My lens works but it came with a strange blemish on one of the inner lenses so certain focal lengths have a small transparent gray circle in them. Still a nice lense

I’m very pleased with my results from this lens. It focuses quickly and provides a sharp image. I really love the zoom range the 24-240 provides, this makes it great as a travel lens.

It’s not the only lens id ever need or want, but it’s the lens that stays on my camera unless i plan on needing something specific. It’s not the fastest, or lightest, you’d probably want something a little wider for real estate and longer for wildlife, faster for portraits and low light, but if you keep your camera with you at all times and want to be ready for 90% of anything it’s great. 100% would buy again.

I bought this lens for travel, so I didn't have to take multiple lenses. It has become my daily driver. It's sharp, and the 24-240mm range covers almost all of my needs. It's not as fast as more expensive lenses, but my R6 Mark II is great in low light, so it hasn't been an issue. No regrets.

As recommended by Ken Rockwell, I've been very happy with this so-far sole lens for my new Canon R6 Mark II camera. The 10x range is very useful and for my needs is perfect.

This lens is incredible. The photos are incredibly crisp and the camera adjusts quickly. As far as weight goes, any larger lens is going to put some weight on the camera but it's really not terrible. I used it for three hours straight and I was comfortable. So it's not crazy heavy.

キヤノン EOS Rで使用。ズームするとオートフォーカスがたまに作動しなくなる。マニュアルに切り替えるか、ズームを一旦広角いっぱいにすると正常になります。カメラのファームは最新です。 レンズ交換の必要性を少なくしシャッターチャンスを増やす目的で購入したが、やや本末転倒。（まあ、レンズ交換するより遥かに良いが。） その他は満足。防滴ではないので、シビアな環境で使う人は、その辺も不満になるかも知れないです。 所有するRF24-105mm F4L IS USMとの比較は、 ①Rawの樽歪みは比較して大きい（jpgはカメラが自動補正する。RawはDPP4などを使用すれば問題なし） ②画質は、同画角での差異は見比べないと分からない。（特に薄暮や黎明等薄暗い環境では、ややのっぺりした感じになります。） ③電子ファインダーとレンズのマッチ特性が違うのか、ファインダー上で同じ明るさに見えても、jpgは本レンズの方がやや暗い（RF24-105mm F4L IS USMは、ファインダーで見た通りになる）

Because I just bought a Canon EOS RP, I was considering between the RF 24 - 105 lens(but the redline one) and this 24 - 240. I knew that 24 - 105 is more expensive and it's a redline lens. We all know Canon's redline lenses are great. But I thought that I can't shoot objects from a little farther away, so I chose the 24 - 240 one. I've used it for traveling, and it worked absolutely great. You can shoot almost everything in your daily use. And the image quality was great too and it surprised me. At last, if you are a Canon's mirrorless camera's owner and you want a lens that's for walk around every day, this is the perfect one you should choose!
