The flavor is worth 10x the price, never had anything so good!
This is one of the best candies I've ever had. I expected a different colored inside based on the photo of the package, but the candies don't have this and it seems they changed the packaging to reflect this better. The flavors do change a bit once the outer layer is gone though. 17 came in my package, which is more than I thought for the price, extremely rich flavor and shipping. If you can, buy at least 2 of these so you don't have to feel guilty when you inevitably snack through a whole bag!

Nice, Hard, Green Tea Candies
Bought a few of these in an Asian market and fell in love with them. The market is very far from my home so I looked to order them online. Found them here, and couldn't be happier. These are green tea flavored hard candies. They are dusted with matcha and have a strong matcha flavor at first (I didn't find it bitter, just distinctively "matcha"). That fades to a mellower green tea candy with a sweet milk center. They remain hard throughout, but the flavor changes. They're very nice - less overpoweringly sweet than US hard candies usually are.

i like it
i just got these after a fair bit of waiting as these are from japan. i can see why people dont like them, but i do. they are NOT gummys even though it looks like that on the package, but i was expecting hard candies anyway. as for the flavor. this is going to sound really dumb, but it tastes very Japanese. they are slightly sweet and taste like a creamy matcha. they almost taste like cow tales candy. thats the best way i can describe it. unfortunately, you will either like it, or you wont. but for $2.50, if you are thinking about trying them, get em. it is kind of a smaller bag, but its what i would expect for $2.50 going into a grocery storeupdate: i got a second opinion from someone who doesnt like green tea and (though she has a really odd taste pallet) she says she tastes a lot of green tea and cant look past it. so if you dont like matcha, dont get it. but i mean come on. its matcha candy... so you PROBABLY like matcha if you are looking into buying this

Yummy!!!
π How to describe the flavor? Have you ever had a matcha frappacino? Or matcha milk tea? Thats how it tastes. Delicious! Also prbably has about as mich caffeine as a large frap. I can either drink my cup of coffee or have one of these in the morning not both. I cant get enough and I recommend it to all of my friends who love matcha.

My new favorite sugar fix
Really delicious hard candies! The matcha flavor is medium-light; you can taste it, but it's not overly bitter. The middle is more creamy, so it tastes like a slowly melting matcha green tea frappucino in your mouth. They're wonderful for that quick sugar-fix, and don't taste overly rich/sweet like other candies. Each candy is individually wrapped, which is also very nice when storing. The bag itself is not very large, but there a good number of candies inside, and it lasted me quite a while (and I have little self-discipline when it comes to food).

Expiration date is too close
Bought this product in March and expire in May... Didn't expect to pay for this price if it is going to expire soon.

so delicious!
These are totally my kind of candy. It's like a Werther's original made with matcha powder instead of caramel flavor. YUM! I absolutely love it. My husband loves green tea but said it tasted more like the powdered stuff they use at coffee shops in a bad way. So they aren't for everyone. Try it! I have a feeling I'm gonna be a little bit addicted...

Gluten free
As someone who is allergic to gluten I can say this is safe to consume and does match the ingredients provided by customers, HOWEVER, we as consumers should not have to ask a company what's in their product. They should offer up the ingredient list already in English and the native language of the products country of origin. This is unacceptable. Please Amazon, correct this. These are truly tasty candies and have a deep enough matcha taste without being sickly sweet. THey are more like a matcha latte and truly splendid. Only 19 calories per as well and you get the added benefits of actual matcha.
