HOTSTORE Mini Lathe Beads Polisher Machine DIY Woodworking Polishing Machine Tool for Handiwork Craft DC 24V 100W

It’s important to know that I have no idea how this thing would be used as a lathe. This is not what I bought it for. But I suspect it wouldn’t be very good because the tools it comes with their kind of cheap and the motor is not very powerful, it has low torque and you can stop it with your hands. But it was perfect for my used which was I was looking for basically a Drill that I can mount on a table.This entire set up is cheaper than just buying a dedicated mount for a drill that I already have. I’m looking for something to mount 3 inch wheels to for doing polishing and grinding and stropping. The cheapest venge grinders you could buy are about $60 and they are huge, and way more powerful than what I’m looking for. I’m using wheels that are designed to be put into a hand drill. But it’s very hard to keep a drill still. And I don’t wanna ruin a really expensive drill by running it as a polisher.This looked like I would be able to work with it so I bought it. I was able to unmount the motor and turn it around and use the rails as a base so I could have the motor pointing off the side off of the side of a table. Even on its lowest setting I runs too fast but I noticed it was supplying 12 V. You can easily pull off the wires and connect your own power supply to the motor and make it slower. This is not a PCM motor so the speed relies completely on the voltage. I connected it up to two lithium ion 18 650s and that runs out at half of its minimum speed and that is perfect for doing the polishing of small items.Set for $25 this thing works perfectly for me when any other solution would’ve been bigger and bulkyer and three times is expensive. This does not mean I’m saying it’s a good lathe because I am looking at it I don’t even see how it could work. To me into sideways drill with a not very powerful motor. This just happened to me exactly what I was looking for.

This mini lathe is excellent. I paid $26 and its too cheap for what you get. I was expecting something with less quality and not so powerful, but I'm suprised. You can use your creativity and adapt a lot of rotary tools on it. 5/5 stars

It was going good for a couple months but then the power switch left the chat and sometimes does like to turn on it may be on my part but would half recommend

This thing works great! Comes fully assembled and runs smoothly. I little bit louder than I expected but I never had a lathe before so I have no reference.-1 star because the chisels are terrible! They chip and dull within seconds. Do yourself a favor and buy a decent set of chisels before using the lathe.

this item is of good quality, better than I thought it would be. I would like to get information pn the power supply unit as it has started to become erratic. What is the part number?

The lathe itself is fantastic. The tools included are cheapy. I went and actually bought new tools at a woodworking store. Now I can't stop lathe-ing!!
