How to fix the fan
This is an excellent video card for between 2 to 4 monitor setup needs (It is low on power supply needs compared to most others), but as many have mentioned....the fan is cheap and becomes noisy after a few months. However this is easy to fix:There are several methods to fix the fan. The easiest is to replace it with a video card fan with a 2-pin plug. Make sure the diameter of the fan blades is about the same (about 36mm or a bit less.) The fan sold here on amazon below is a near perfect fit. Start all 3 screws before tightening them in fully:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008NZ3X1W/ref=oh_details_o09_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Simply remove the 3 screws from the top side of the video card with a very small phillips head screwdriver (the screws are down between and under the fan blades), not to be confused with the 4 screws from the back side (this would remove the heat sync as well.) Also remove the white plug off of the video card, leaving two metal prongs where the new fan will be plugged in to. Then just do the reverse to install the new fan. Be sure to route the wire through the fins of the heat sync so that it doesn't catch on the fan blades. If you get a fan with the correct diameter fan blades, but the mounting holes don't line up, simply use a few drops of super glue on the bottom of the fan and center it in the heat sync. (This is a popular method mentioned on many video card maintenance message boards.) Then if the fan needs to be removed later, it will easily pop out with a simply pry of a flat-edged screwdriver.Another method I first tried was to oil the original fan using an oil bottle with a needle applicator such as the one below:http://www.amazon.com/Hoppes-Precision-Lubricating-14-9ml-Bottle/dp/B0013R67A6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1366669677&sr=8-1&keywords=needle+oilI used 2 drops of oil, first gently prying the fan blades from the mounting base just a bit to expose the silver metal shaft of the fan motor (I put one drop on opposite sides of each other). I got some oil on the copper wire, but it didn't cause any problem. This fixed the noise, but after about 2 months the fan ever so gradually began to get more noisy, so I replaced the fan before the horrible noise returned (and I didn't want to have to keep oiling it). The new fan is much more quiet than the original ever was.So, don't let the poor fan shy you away from purchasing this fine video card. The fan I mentioned here only cost about $5.00 including shipping. Also note that this video card doesn't support VGA-only monitors since it doesn't send out a VGA signal. (So, a digital to VGA converter cable plug won't work either.) Perhaps that's why the power consumption needs are lower that other 4-port video cards.

Excellent card, excellent support
There are few purchases as risky as a moderately priced video card for a PC. My old card is no longer supported by the mfr, so the only Windows 10 driver was from Microsoft and was causing some stability issues (I know from the filenames on the BSOD). I need 3-monitor support, so my choices are somewhat limited. This looked like a good choice. It was.Comes with both a short and tall bracket. One dongle with four DVI-D connectors. No mishmash of DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort/S-Video. The disk provided with the card does not have Windows 10 drivers, but I had previously checked the AMD site and downloaded the AMD Catalyst software for Windows 10. This card supports all the Adobe Photoshop CS6 GPU capabilities, and my ColorMunki monitor calibration device had no problem either. The default fonts for some Microsoft products (Windows, Office 2016) appear a bit thinner than with my old card.Initially, one of my three monitors did not come on, reporting "no signal". Also, one of the other two displayed only monochrome. After swapping cables, removing and reinstalling the card, and checking input settings on the monitors, I called VisionTek. On hold maybe five minutes and then Kim came on and was very friendly and was clearly in the U.S. She diagnosed the monochrome problem instantly (Catalyst Control Center, check the saturation setting for that screen, which apparently often comes set to 0), and then I had two color monitors. After Kim had me disconnect the two working monitors, the nonworking one came up. She surmised it was a corrupted driver and directed me back to the AMD site to download the driver package again. She said, "If that doesn't do it, call me back. I have calls waiting, or I'd stay on the line with you." No worries, as that did fix the problem. I give VisionTek five out of five stars for tech support.Note. The output from this card is digital only. If you have a monitor with just a VGA connection and use a DVI-to-VGA adapter, you are out of luck, as that adapter will not connect to a DVI-D output. You can use a DVI to HDMI adapter, though, and supposedly carry sound as well, although I haven't tried that (I might, since I could use a HDTV on the desk as monitor four).

... of these two years ago and it has worked fine since then with windows 8
I bought one of these two years ago and it has worked fine since then with windows 8.1 and four monitors. I am not a gamer but it has no problem with showing movies full screen. Since my work requires me to have a spare system in case my main work system departs this earth, I need to be able to easily move my four monitors to the spare system. So I bought another one. The board was defective with one of the monitors repeatedly going blank for about 10 seconds. Intel, which makes the graphics chip told me that they have seen this problem lately.. Also, the 68pin connector could not be tightened on both sides because the screw on the connector was defective. This would ordinarily not be a big deal but with 4 dvi cables hanging off of it, the connector really needs to be on solidly. So I ordered an advance replacement. They required me to pay up front $40 (fedx within the state of CA) for shipping in both directions. I feel this is not reasonable. Usually suppliers will have you pay shipping in one direction. So I am annoyed at them for this. I had wrongly assumed that the replacement would come with a new 1 to 4 connector - but their replacement was a bare board - no plate for larger boxes and no connector. I had to move the plate to the replacement board. The replacement is working fine. The good news is that when I emailed them about the bad connector, they simply send me another one with no shipping charge and no asking for the bad one back. The 1 to 4 connector assembly retails for over $40, so kudos to them for this. If I ever need to have 12 monitors going, I would buy another one.

Funciona correctamente.Muy buena compra!!!

Spend the money on something better
This is the budget card, works with Windows 10.But the connection is garbage. After wasting time trying to figure out why one screen wasn't working.Started wiggling the connector to the card and the screen started working. I made sure the screws were in super tight as well.
