I was so scared to use this on my hair. My hair was gingerish/strawberry blonde, then i decided to dye it purple but it came out as a mixture of red/black/purple. I used this product and let it sit for 5 extra minutes. It worked wonders. It did not take me back to my original hair color but it was pretty close. This product made my purple/red hair dye WAY lighter. I actually love my hair now. It did leave some redish tones in my hair from the dye I used before. I love it so much.

Save your time and money
I know that hair products tend to have a bad smell, and this is no different than a perm, but I will say that this did not do a darn thing in my hair at all, but make my hair stink. I followed the directions and it did not budge at all, so I am not happy with this product at all. I personally wouldn’t recommend it.

Effective! And Smelly!
I wanted to go from bright pink to Emerald green. Considering they are close to being opposites on the color wheel, I knew I couldn't just put the green over the pink. I needed to remove as much pink as possible. I have hair slightly longer than my chin, not quite to my shoulders on the front/side. I was able to do 2 applications with this set. And I needed both! Here are my findings:1. Very Smelly. Use in a ventilated area and cover your hair with either a plastic bag or shower cap (not included). The scent lingers for at least 12 hours so make sure you give yourself enough time for the scent to dissapate if you'll be going out of the house/around others.2. Use on clean, unconditioned hair3. Use a bottle instead of a bowl and brush. It is a thin consistency and a bowl would make it more difficult.4. Follow the instructions regarding rinsing. It seemed exorbitant but it worked. I rinsed for 10 mins, then shampooed twice then rinsed again for 10 mins. I did this with both applications. By the time I was done rinsing in my second application, my hair definitely felt dry so I used a masque, and rinsed after 3 or so minutes.5. I don't use colors that require developer so I wasn't worried about the developer test. Honestly, I didn't even bother with it. I would imagine if the color you are removing required developer, you'll definitely want to do this step. 10 vol developer is not included.6. I bleached my roots the next day and applied my base green. No counter effects from using the color remover. I applied a shadow root color the following day. You'll want to be patient. This process takes some time, but it is less harsh than rebleaching when you're changing colors. My hair actually feels pretty good. I have included several pictures. Before the color remover, after first application, after second application, and final product

It's a gamble.
Wildest hair experience of my life. My hair was previously blonde, then I died it red, and it had faded to a natural ginger color. After I finished using the product for the first 20 mins, my hair appeared much lighter again! I was hopeful. Then I did the 10 volume developer for 10 mins and it got darker again. Very interesting! It looks only slightly lighter than before, but slightly is better than nothing! I just wanted to avoid using bleach. I feel like this product is a toss up weather or not it will work for you. So don't have high expectations, but it's a low stakes gamble! Worth the try.

This product works if you follow the instructions!!!!
After reading numerous comments and reviews, I was filled with confusion and a bit of fear. However, my desperation to restore my hair pushed me to make the purchase, and I can confidently say that this product truly delivers results! I didn't have a mixing bowl, brush, or applicator bottle, so I improvised with a glass bowl, dipped my hands into the mixture, and applied it generously throughout my hair. With the leftover solution, I leaned over my tub to ensure every inch was drenched and thoroughly massaged it in, reaching every nook and cranny. I then secured a plastic bag over my head and let the treatment sit for about 20 to 25 minutes. Following the instructions meticulously, I rinsed for an additional 10 to 15 minutes and let my hair dry— and let me tell you, it worked wonders! The key takeaway? Be sure to follow the directions closely, as they are vital for achieving the best results.PSA- it smells like a$$ water and smell will linger for a while

Meh.
Tried to get rid of the last of my Manic Panic Amplified After Midnight hair dye. First time I followed the directions (20 minutes on) and it did little more than make my hair reek of rotten eggs, and yes I rinsed for ten minutes before, shampooed five times, and then rinsed for another ten as the directions say. I also did a vinegar rinse, as recommended by another reviewer. Still stank. The second time I did it I left it on for an hour. Followed all the rinsing, and washing directions again. Budged the dye a bit but still not all the way out. Also, it lightened my hair a bit, which I could tell also from the shirt I wore which got bleached too. I was not expecting it, nor did I want this to happen AT ALL. Note that the second photo only looks darker because of the lighting. Wasn't much bleaching, but still. The first photo is of my hair after I did it the first time. I do not have photos of my hair before that treatment because I was avoiding cameras because of that look. I can tell you though that it looked pretty much exactly like that. The second photo is after having it on for 1 hour. There is a significant difference, but I would have thought that with so little dye there to begin with (semi-permanent dye, I would add) it would be completely out. Looks about like I have chlorine in it now, which isn't too bad. Still, not completely satisfied. My hair absolutely reeks after the second time.
