The Kneeling Christian Review: Great read,I was not disappointed - This is a great read,on how to be a better prayer warrior and also the power in prayer Review: A Powerful Reminder Every Christian Needs - The Kneeling Christian is a timeless and deeply convicting call back to powerful prayer. With humility and clarity, the unknown author reminds us that real spiritual strength is found on our knees. This book doesn’t entertain or impress - it awakens your soul to total dependence on God. Simple, searching, and encouraging, it is a must-read for any believer who longs for a deeper and effective prayer life. A few of my favorite quotes to whet your appetite: "We are never so high as when we are on our knees." “Prayer is an offering up of our desires unto God for things agreeable to His will, in the name of Christ, with confession of our sins and thankful acknowledgment of His mercies.” "It is not too much to say that all real growth in the spiritual life– all victory over temptation, all confidence and peace in the presence of difficulties and dangers, all repose of spirit in times of great disappointment or loss, all habitual communion with God– depend upon the practice of secret prayer." "God wants me to pray. The devil does not want me to pray, and does all he can to hinder me. He knows that we can accomplish more through our prayers than through our work. He would rather have us do anything else than pray." "We may be assured of this–the secret of all failure is our failure in secret prayer." "Unlove in the heart is possibly the greatest hindrance to prayer. A loving spirit is a condition of believing prayer. We cannot be wrong with man and right with God. The spirit of prayer is essentially the spirit of love. Intercession is simply love at prayer. He prayeth best who loveth best All things both great and small; For the great God Who loveth us, He made and loveth all. Dare we hate or dislike those whom God loves?" "Praise is as important as prayer. We must enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise, and give thanks unto Him and bless His name (Ps. c. 4)." "Prayer is our highest privilege, our gravest responsibility, and the greatest power God has put into our hands. Prayer, real prayer, is the noblest, the sublimest, the most stupendous act that any creature of God can perform."

Unknown christian to every christian
If I had to sum up the idea of this book in one word would be simplicity. In an era of cancer-like-growth of telemarketing churches and do-it-yourself religions, reading these simple words will lead any christian to focus on what really makes a difference. It's not about dogmas or doctrines, it's about building a relationship with God - which will inevitably teach the reader a little bit more about relationship with our fellow humans. Apart from the obvious theme, i.e. prayer, the author is also able to show us that choosing to be a real christian has nothing to do with intolerance and ostracism. The book was written around 100 years ago, and even when the author talks about "infidels" or "pagans", the reader is able to see that it is not done with contempt or disregard. I believe that anyone that is willing to search for what really makes a christian should read this book. And not only once. The kindle version was really great - although I am also buying the paperback or hardcover copy.

Every Christian should read this book!
What an amazing book!! It's based on John 15 in the Bible regarding the parable of the vine and the branches. It's about Jesus' promise that if you love God and seek His will, and follow Jesus example and commands, then what you ask in Jesus' name will be granted because it will glorify God. "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples." John 15:7-8 NIV The entire book highlights the limitless power at the hands of Jesus' diciples, in so far as, it is in God's will. ANYTHING God wants accomplished WILL be accomplished in Jesus' name for the Glory of God. A few quotes from the book: "Why, the wonder is not that we pray so little, but that we can ever get up from our knees if we realize our own need; the needs of our home and our loved ones; the needs of our pastor and the church; the needs of our city--of our country--of the heathen..." "The Lord Jesus, now in the heavenlies, beckons to us to fall upon our knees and claim the riches of His grace." "Isn't it just splendid to know that by our prayers we can bring down showers of blessing upon India, or Africa, or China, just as readily as we can get the few drops needed for our own little plot?" "Prayer is an offering up of our desires unto God for things agreeable to His will, in the name of Christ, with confession of our sins and thankful acknowledgement of His mercies." This is such a wonderful book!! Definitely worth reading!!! If you don't beleive you can change the world through prayer after reading this book....then you didn't pay attention.

What a practical and understandable book on prayer in the life of a Christian.
Is prayer important? Is prayer necessary? Is prayer practical? Why do we need to learn how to pray? Isn’t it like talking to a friend? So why do I need to “learn” how to pray? Written by an anonymous person, this is a practical and understandable book on prayer and on the importance of prayer in the life of a Christian. A “must read’ for anyone who wants to understand what a prayer life is all about.

A Shocking Change Of View
Yes yes -- we've all heard someone say it; maybe we've even spoken it ourselves to others! Spoken what???? "Don't tell me what to believe!" Sometimes it comes out like this: "I don't believe there's a loving God out there!" Or maybe "Why pray to a God who doesn't answer?" If you find yourself in any of these comments, then THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU !! And, even more importantly -- if you consider yourself to be a person of prayer, or even very knowledgeable about the act of prayer, then THIS BOOK IS DEFINITELY FOR YOU!! Consider the AUTHOR of this book. Can you tell me who it is??? - Nope. That's because, the writer of the book, was FAR TOO HUMBLE BEFORE GOD to allow any credit to be taken for writing a BEST SELLER!! Yet this book has been a BEST SELLER for over a century! Imagine that -- Why would the author do such a thing, as remaining anonymous ??? Because, whoever wrote this book on PRAYER, knew something you and I haven't learned yet: namely, that GOD OWES US NOTHING !! And we OWE GOD EVERYTHING !! First and foremost, our worship of the Creator of all things -- Buy the book -- THIS BOOK WILL BE ONE OF THE BEST INVESTMENTS YOU CAN EVER MAKE !!!! If you follow the advice, that is.............. !!!

A Great Devotional Teaching On Prayer
A true classic! This book was recommended on a radio broadcast by a Bible teacher who has been serving God for over 50 years, who himself is an author, so when he recommends a book, I make sure I get it and read it. It is everything that I expected, and has great insight.

Delightful, Encouraging and Convicting
A delightful, encouraging and convicting exploration of the power of prayer and its importance in the Christian life. A refreshing reminder that the question is not, "Is God listening?" Indeed He is! The question is, "Are we praying?"
