Great gift
I bought the Pronto Seed Growing Set (Herbs) as a gift for my sister in India, and it turned out to be a thoughtful, unique surprise. It arrived in good condition and fairly quickly, considering it was an international delivery. The packaging was neat and gift-worthy, and my sister loved the concept right away—especially since she enjoys cooking and had been wanting to grow her own herbs. The kit includes everything needed to get started: seed packets, biodegradable pots, soil pellets, and clear instructions, which made it beginner-friendly. She planted basil, parsley, rosemary, and chives, and so far, most of the seeds have sprouted well (basil and rosemary were the fastest). The quality of the seeds seems reliable, and watching them grow has been genuinely satisfying for her. It’s also a nice way to bring a bit of green into a small kitchen or balcony. Overall, it’s a charming, meaningful gift—especially for anyone who loves cooking, gardening, or just needs a little greenery in their space. Would definitely recommend, especially for gifting across borders!

Nice Gift but Needs Patience
I was worried the seeds might not sprout at all, but with some extra warmth and light, a few did start growing after a couple of weeks. The kit looks great and has everything you need, though the packaging could be stronger. Compared to other grow kits I’ve tried, this one feels more thoughtful and beginner-friendly, but the results take time and not all seeds may germinate. If you’re patient and enjoy slow projects, I’d say it’s worth trying.

Not recommended. I'm a competent gardener but few of these seeds germinated
Rubbish. Based on previous experience of growing from seed think it's fair to say I have the gardening skills required for this but I got poor results. Bought 2 packs of these for a bit of fun growing competition with my neighbour. I used both their growing medium, and also put some spare seeds in good quality sowing compost, plus used a germinator. All the tomato seeds sprouted, but only 2 radish (of 7 seeds planted) and 1 carrot (of 7 weeds planted). No Pepper or Chilli (which are, frankly, the most interesting seeds here - the other 3 are fairly boring seeds you can get anywhere). I conclude: Poor quality seed (and growing medium). Definitely NOT recommended. Just buy seeds from a garden centre, use some good quality sowing compost and a germinator (all cheap) and you will get better results.

Nice enough if you aren't fussy about what you've got
This kit comes with detailed instructions - but very poor ones. If you put the smaller seeds so far under the compost, they are unlikely to succeed; only the 'giant western cactus' seeds are really big enough for this. The naming of the three 'identified' species is a disaster, and tying up names on the seed packets with the pictured species may be a problem. The 'golden barrel cactus' is undoubtedly 'Echinocactus grusonii' which is easy to grow from seed, and should do well. The 'giant western cactus' pictured, is probably 'Carnegia gigantica' but the seeds supplied are Pachycereus Pringlei', a very close relative and of very similar appearance; both grow very slowly indeed - which is just as well - and are rather unexciting, though very tough. As for the 'clumping barrel cactus'... who knows? The seeds are labelled 'Ferocactus' (which would imply 'Ferocactus Stainesii' - a handsome plant), but the picture is not of any Ferocactus I know of. There are a number of possibilities, but the illustration is of a young plant, and I can't give a positive identification of the species. In view of the price of the product - which is excessive - this is shoddy work. As regards the mixed cactus mixture, (the picture shows cacti and succulents), don't be in a hurry to discard the pot - cactus seeds necessarily remain viable for some time, and some can take up to two years to germinate. You should get a lot of fun from the kit, however; watching a prickly young plant emerging from the ordinary-looking seed leaves is always fascinating, and the novelty never wears off. (wait until the seed leaves have disappeared before potting on). Good luck.

Fun and Rewarding Bonsai Growing Experience
The Pronto Seed Grow Your Own Bonsai Tree Kit is a delightful introduction to bonsai cultivation. The kit comes with seeds, soil, and clear instructions, making it suitable for beginners or as a creative gift. Watching the tiny seeds sprout and grow into a miniature tree is both satisfying and educational. While patience is required, the kit provides everything needed to nurture your bonsai from seed to a healthy young tree. A charming, hands-on way to engage with nature and learn about plant care.

As advertised.
Neat little box with 5 tiny pots and 5 little packets of seeds. Looks fine but as I bought it as a. Christmas gift I can’t say what it will be like.
