Proper angle grinder
Didn’t love the paddle placement initially but have gotten used to it. Have already ground metal, concrete, and removed paint since owning. My diamond grind cup for masonry cost more than this item, and this grinder should last me years and years

Poor handle design. A swing and a miss...for my preferences.
Bosch tools:As far as I'm concerned, one of the top/leading brands in hand tools, power equipment, etc.. I have owned several Bosch hand tools over the years, and still do. I am an avid DIY'er and I prefer top quality tools, and I always go for a name that I trust. This one is a bit of an oddity for me. I haven't even plugged the grinder in to try it out - and there's no need for me to do even that. As soon as I pulled the grinder out of the box and began to assemble it, I already realized this one would not work out for me.For some unknown reason, Bosch has decided to buck the trend of ALL of the other angle grinders on the market and come up with their own idea as to how they should be designed. Here's the issue; The side handle, which can be mounted on either the right or left side, is mounted/threaded in at an upward angle, angled forward, towards the grinding wheel.I have owned probably 10 angle grinders so far, and I have NEVER encountered such a strange/unhandy design. The angled mounted handle makes it so uncomfortable/unbalanced that I instinctively knew that it would be impossible for me to hold it with my wrist at such an odd, uncomfortable angle.I really wanted to like this grinder. As mentioned previously, I consider Bosch one of the top rated hand/power tools. I suppose this quirky design doesn't bother other users, because all of the ratings are high, and not one complaint regarding the handle design.I suppose if others seem to like it, they will continue to produce this grinder in the same style, with the offset handle. For me, I'm going to have to choose another brand that is more comfortable for me to use, with my wrists in a more natural position. You may love the design, as many of the other purchaser's seem to. This one is simply not for me.Attached is a clear, top down view, which shows the angled handle design.

GOOD QUALITY. SOME ISSUES THOUGH...
This is a good quality angle grinder. I buy a lot of Bosch power tools. This is the first angle-grinder that I've used with the 'paddle-switch'. Not crazy about it. I prefer the side-switch style. Also, the trigger-lock button on the back is not very good. It's in a bad spot and they way it works is not very good. They should re-engineer that... Other than that, it's a powerful angle-grinder. I wouldn't mind having a variable-speed RPM dial though... I guess they don't offer that at this price-point...

A must for metal shops! Superior value!
I am a metal sculptor who uses grinders all day every day. So when I give a review, it's based on a thorough and extensive use in a wide variety of uses. This grinder is, hands down, the best brand grinder in mutiple aspects, nothing else compares to it. I've used Metabo, Dewalt, Makita, Craftsman, and others. Nothing comes close to the power and ease of use/balance of this tool. Bosch did a phenomenal job of making the tool lighter, without sacrificing durability and power, and at the same time designed it with your hand in mind. The switch is mounted further forward, toward the work, and takes so much stress off your hand while making it much more comfortable to use for extended periods of time. It also spins faster and therefore cuts faster, grinds faster, and preps surfaces faster, which is a big thing in my shop where time is money. Metabo makes their switch to far back and you have to support the entire grinders weight, very bad design, obviously the designer never worked a full day in a shop. Dewalt does great, but didn't last more than 10-11 months, every Dewalt grinder was that way, and parts are kind of pricey to fix cords and such. Always bought a new unit instead after the 1st repairs. Dewalt's grinders are also very thick and cause hand cramps after a while of use. Other grinders I have used still fall far behind Bosch as well. If you want to save money and plan to use your grinder often, I recommend to spend the little extra and get this brand. That's my 2 cents worth, probably went past 2 cents..lol... but I just like when a company actually puts thought into their product and make it very good like this unit!
