Added the first 2 and they started to turn yellow within minutes. I left them in for about an hour and they were both pretty dark. I wanted to see if this was just a simple chemical reaction, not necessarily that they had done anything. I added a third, left it in for a couple hours and it stayed white... That's the 3rd one in the pic.I will also add I've seen the traditional scum balls and not noticed much of a color change in those. Those also seem to beuch denser than these. Regardless seems to work and is a great value.

We have a swim spa and I tossed one of these in it and they work. Since oils usually float to the surface, these turtles absorb most of it. It's just me and my husband, or I'd pop two in the spa. My only complaint is I wish they were a bit larger to avoid getting trapped in the skimmer baskets. But they still work there.

These are horrible! They will turn brown and begin disintegrating almost overnight, leaving debris in the spa. From now on will only use Scumbug brand.

I saw so many negative and positive reviews about this product. yes they are vacuum packed when they arrive. Big deal!! no difference than a mattress or pillow being delivered! I sat them out individually on my counter and by morning, the air went into them. I put them in a bag to store with my pool supplies. they look like turtles and work great. I have very happy with them. the ones we used in past, I only got 3 stars for the same price.

These are not the best quality. they all turned brown without even being used.

I honestly wasn't sure if I really wanted these, or if they'd do much but omg do they ever. I highly reccomended getting. I use for my hot tub that we recently purchased. I threw one in and not even 12 hours later it seriously looked like most of the pictures you see from reviews posted. I got the white ones so I could truly see how much scum was being collected. And let me tell you, it's LOTS. It also doesn't help cause I have metal in the water, so I did have to do a treatment for that, but I felt like these were such a good addition to collect the particals and scum that is still there. My water is CLEAR (I also keep up with daily maintenance). Again. Highly recommend!
