Fantastic device!
LOVE this thing! I bought it to play music in the back yard. Actually installed it outside in the wall of our barn. You can get to it easily. It runs 4 speakers pretty well, but if you want great bass, you probably want to add an amp. We can stream to it via Bluetooth or, with the AUX connection, we can play just about any device through it. The sound is GREAT and it is so easy to use. We love it. After years of Bluetooth speakers and old home stereos to power our back yard, THIS is the perfect device. If you are not using it in a Marine environment, you will need to power it. You could use a car battery with a trickle charger on it, or a 30A power supply. I went the power supply route and am VERY happy with it.

Lolve it
Well, I like it, not, you know, Love. It is a good stereo with some nice features. Mine is paired with some JBL speakers mounted on the side of my center console. They sound nice. Now I just pair the Blue thing with my cell and listen to the Blues on my Amazon playlist. Somebody mentioned that it gets hot but I would call it warm as what you are touching is the heat-sink for the amplifier. A watt is a watt is a watt. I don't see it as a problem. Easy to install, easy to use, nice sound, and compact.

Love this head unit
Works great on my boat. Very easy to hook to BlueTooth and as those with boats know, the stereo goes off-and-on often when you shut down and restart the engine. It grabs the bluetooth automatically and gets the music playing again within a few seconds. I also like the "mute" (the JBL button) being big and on top, so I can mute it quickly when needing to communicate with my wake-boarder.I actually removed a cup holder and it fit perfectly in that spot! Easy to install, the ONLY problem I had was the "remote" wire... it's not labeled well, and is shrink-wrapped at the end, making it look like it's not important. Even though it's the correct color for "remote", it just didn't seem "right" at first. I'm docking 1 star because I could not get customer service help, JBL sends to another company, I left 2 VMs and never got a reply. If you are installing this and using external amps, you will need to hook up the "remote" wire. That's the blue one that is crimped at the end and looks like it has been wrapped with a piece of rubber band. It is not pre-stripped like most of the rest of the wires.

Perfect stereo for my boat
Great stereo for my small boat. Been using for a few months now. Don't expect boat vibrating bass but sound quality is excellent throught the volume range. Has RCA plugs if you want to add an amp but I prefer to keep things simple. Bluetooth is a big plus and hookup was a breeze. Best part is the face is waterproof so no cover to open or close or remote to loose in a rocking boat to adjust the volume or station. Just hose off at the end of the day to get the fish slime off. Unit gets hot when in use. Have a feeling it will outlast my marine stereos I've purchased in the past most last a year or less. I'm a weekly user in salt water with lots of spray.

Not upto date
The worst thing was the extremely short harness. Have these designers ever tried to install it in a boat ? Certainly not !! It took many hrs and many redos and it barely fit. Also the usb is useless because it cannot connect to a mobile phone and read music. It does not even charge your phone. Its only for a usb stick. Who even uses that in our age ?? It should be updated. It’s way behind the times technologically. All else is good. Solid unit. Easy bluetooth and good sound, good FM reception.

the best marine radio I have purchased
Hands down, the best marine radio I have purchased. I used to have to purchase a new Dual, BOSS, and other brand radios every year. I bought this for mt bass boat, because it fit in the dash where my older lowrance depth finder was. First one had to be replaced because it quit pairing for the bluetooth. The company that makes these for JBL is based in the Carolina's and they sent me a Brand new one. The guy said I had an older version of the receiver, so he sent me the latest version, and I have had no issue since. I have been in complete down pours and was soaked from head to toe, but the receiver continues to rock on. Bought another one for my Mastercraft, still working great.

Best radio I found for my boat
This radio is perfect. I got this radio because of its small nature, so it didn't take up much room on my console. It fits perfectly next to my gauges and looks amazing. It is very user-friendly and sounds great.

Working great since 2014
Bought this to replace a similar style very cheap radio and have been extremely happy. Bluetooth works well. Sound is great. I am using 4 6-1/2 inch Kenwood speakers powered by this head and 2 more 6-1/2 speakers powered via an amp through the rca outputs on the head. 19 foot fish/ski. I'm about to add another amp and sub. The unit does get very hot but only on the backside and also around the thin metal ring in front of the supplied mounting gasket and behind the radio face but not a problem so far. Maybe I got lucky but it has been working great.
