Rough CountryCold Air Intake for 2015-2020 Ford F-150 | V8/5.0L - 10555

Had a broken vacuum line hose fitting on my factory ford intake hose on my 2017 F150 with the 5.0. Instead of buying a new plastic hose from Ford for around $100, I decided to source a metal intake instead to try and avoid this issue in the future. Found this Rough Country intake for around $130 and decided to try it out. Install was fairly easy and took me around 45 min to do with very basic hand tools. Vacuum hoses fit no problem and has a nice grumble to it as an added bonus. Would purchase again!

I put it on a 2016 F150 5.0L, I don’t hear a whistle. Tbf I have tinnitus lol. It woke the truck up, 12hp ish. Exhaust sounds better and throttle response is better. Gives a bit of rumble under your feet too. All around great if you’re looking for something to change your exhaust note deeper, add power, or just want it to look sporty. LolInstallation is super easy. Even with the instructions looking like dirty dog water, you can figure it out with a little mechanical knowledge or YouTube it.Edit: Had for a couple months now. For a few days I heard the whistle but now I can only hear it faintly if I’m listening for it. It’s quieter than the ac. Extremely happy with my purchase!

Just get some better hose clamps as these are weak and do not hold tight at the final couple of turns. Other than that awesome product, does what it is supposed to, truck sounds better and runs better.Between this and a programmer, I picked up a solid 3 mpg with a performance tune.. I am happy!

It's easy to install and sounds great, but it made my '17 Lariat 5.0L stumble at idle at random times, usually in drive in traffic. Would randomly try to idle at ~300rpm; I would have to go into neutral, give it revs, back into drive, back to neutral, etc just to keep it running. Usually in the school line to pick up my kids. It even died a couple times. Put my OE intake back on.Build quality is pretty low, but that's expected for the price. And you can't return it after 30 days, so I'm stuck with it; a waste of $150. Should've just spend more and went with K&N.

The media could not be loaded. Watch and listen to the video. I hear a very audible difference in sound from before as stock to now with the cold air. Nothing else done and I love the sound. I'll update if and when I see any millage changes up or down and if I see any mph or tourq changes. Other than that, super easy installation about 30ish minutes and only one cut to the thumb. So I'd call that a win! There are a lot of install videos for this and the only 2 parts that I was really confused about was how to release the breather lines and where the big cone goes (hint it attaches to the box that the filter goes to "yes it fits" the intake tube) and how to get it attached.

Good for the price, had some fitment issues.
