African American Inventors (Lucent Library of Black History)

I bought several books for an orphanage in Ethiopia - the kids speak 3 languages, including English and are ravenous readers. They loved this book and all the others I sent!

Very, very interesting book!!!

My godson has enjoyed the book. He loves to share the interesting facts with family and friends. That brings me joy!

If you don't know much black history, then this book is better than the euro centric textbooks most American students have been whitewashed with. I would not choose this book for my own children's library. It denies the genius of several of the inventors, and flatout states that some weren't really inventors. It exalts Edison above Woods and Latimer, we know that JPMORGAN had much to do with the lawsuits that were attempts to bankrupt competitors and own their inventions, by crook or by...
