Works good.

The trash lid is high quality, and very heavy. We needed a lid that would keep animals out of our trash bins and this thing is doing an excellent job. It's heavy set so animals find it hard to get in and the wind doesn't just fling it off the trash bin. It's not too hard to push the flap to insert trash but hard enough to keep small critters out. I haven't had an issue with rodents or birds tearing apart the trash and littering our parking lot anymore. It's expensive but if you're having issues with animals making a mess by getting in the trash, it's truly worth it.

We had open garbage cans on the front steps of our community dinner dining hall. It attracted squirrels and looked awful. But $75 for a garbage lid seemed like a lot to spend for a 501c3.Amazon Warehouse had a couple of these at about 60% of the full price, so I snatched them up, and I'm glad I did.They firmly snap onto the 44-gallon Brute cans and aren't going anywhere. The swinging doors on them close tightly and look and feel as though they're going to continue doing that for years. Any odors that may be percolating in the can during the summer will be trapped. The appearance is much more inviting and professional as our guests, volunteers and donors walk up the steps.Great buy!

My red Rubbermaid Commercial Heavy-Duty BRUTE Dome Swing Top Door Lid for 44 my matching Gallon Waste Container is beautiful. The lid is durable plastic. Durable as in extremely hard, will take a lot to break or nick. This dome, though not cheap, is exactly what I wanted for my garbage can. My one issue is removing it from the garbage can. I put it on easily alone. It took 3 of us to figure out how to remove the lid. That’s good because it is very secure but bad when you cannot unsecure it alone. Overall I give this lid 4 stars with one removed due to the difficulty with lid removal.
