We worried about that, too. But in the first step of the process, you put your hands into a solution that turns into a rubbery plastic. It slides right off as you gently wiggle your hands (and rings) out of it. Any residue rinses off easily. You won't need soap, though you might want yo use it, anyway.The plaster doesn't enter into the picture until after you've made the mold and removed your hands.

Q: Would this be wide enough for two people to make a pinky promise gesture?

Yes, it will be wide enough; however, make sure to practice the position before making the mold. The length of the bucket is 19 centimeters.

Q: I need to make a mold for pourable silicone. Will this work or would it stick to the mold?

I don't think so. I wanted to use it to make soap molds and the company said it wouldn't work.
