Nature's Ocean Bio-Activ Live Aragonite Beach Live Sand for Aquarium, 10-Pound, Black

I didn't get a clarifying packet in here, so unsure if I was supposed to have one or not. Even without it the cloudiness wasn't too bad (I did not rinse it prior to adding and left my fish in the tank) and was pretty much settled within 24 hours, I can't really recall how many days it was super clear afterwards, maybe 2-3. My latest picture was prior to me typing this because I forgot to take a fully "clear" picture.It wasn't jet black in color, but the description said it could vary so I wasn't overly concerned, just wanted something dark to mix in with the existing sands I have in my tank. I needed to add a little more sand to the one side for depth in preparation for plants (that aren't plastic) that I will be adding soon and this size bag did the trick.If I feel I need to add just a bit more in the future I won't hesitate to purchase this again.

Not sure about how well the bio kept up, however, the color is really nice, particle size is decent, and doesn’t blow around super easy. Also easy to keep clean looking.

I really like the look and thickness of the sand. The only downsize is there is a ton of little square plastic pieces throughout. It’s been really hard trying to get ever single piece out.

I like the ease of setup and seeing how I always use double filtration on any fish tank I set up anyways, I quadrupled it to clear the water and in an hour it was crystal clear. Did have to go back and clean the glass as you do with all tank when adding sand due to the dust in the sand. One thing I didn't care for was anytime before I have bought this product I guess it was the right time of year because it always was dark black all the years before. Apparently this time I orded in rhe brownish sand type of year which is stated on the product when you purchase it to begin with so its not negative on them just wrong time of year. Keep up the great work 👍 👏.

I’m striking out into unknown territory setting up a brackish mangrove swamp. So far, so good. Though I must confess I’d have no idea whether the live sand is still live. It’s definitely sand. I will submit a follow up review as things progress.

Good quality and within appropriate expiration dates. Sand is not black however. It’s more of a brown grey. Works fine but if you’re looking for jet black Hawaiian sand this is not what you want.

Sand is nice quality and cleared up quickly in tank. Not as ‘black’ as I thought it would be, but it’s fine. One bag fit 20g tank fine with about 1/2 inch height.

It is not black at all. But it still looks great. It looks natural.

Llego en tiempo y forma, a pesar de que la caja llego maltratada y mojada el producto venía intacto, solo como observación, la arena no es color negro como tal, es más café obscuro pero aún así se ve muy bien.

Si me gusto el producto se ve mejor la aragonita negra luce mejor mi acuario
