BescorMP1XL Motorized Pan and Tilt Head Kit with Power Supply and 50' Remote Extension

This thing hasn’t worked right since we got it! Won’t run off plug in, we have to change batteries, now it won’t rotate. Find something else.

I operate the video camera at our church. We needed to upgrade our Pan and Tilt function so I thought this unit would work well. I had to return the first unit because the 120 A/C power adapter receptacle didn't work. Since the camera mounted overhead, having only the battery power wouldn't work. After two hours of stringing cable and setting it up, it wouldn't power up. Not to be deterred, I packed it up and returned the first and ordered a second. I tested everything before installing this time and all was working as expected. We used it last Sunday for our Zoom viewers. Just at the end of the service the plastic gears stripped, and the camera would no longer pan - the tilt function still worked. Sent it back today. Spend more money and believe the reviews. I don't understand why this is still being sold by Amazon.

This motorized pan & tilt works great. Smooth panning and easy assembly.

Is there anyway to slow down the side to side (pan)? I have the speed on the slowest setting and it's still too fast when panning left/right. Tilt moves perfectly and oddly is a different speed from pan. I still need a way to slow this down some.
