I was using chemical dyes in my hair for years, and I happened to try a new hair dye and it really damaged my hair and caused my hair to become super frizzy and some breakage. I decided to stop using toxic chemical hair dyes altogether. I started using a plant-based hennas which over time will heal, coat, strengthen and protect my hair. Anyway, I've tried several different types of oil products on my hair, but this one is absolutely the best! It calmed down the frizzies and added a lovely subtle shine. I only need a few drops and my hair looks shiny and healthy. The product has a scent, but it's very faint. At first. I thought it smelled like cotton candy. The next day I thought it smelled like a light citrus smell. It's a pleasant scent. I'm very sensitive to perfumes and other scents, but this one doesn't bother me at all. I believe the scent dissipates fairly quickly which is nice.

I love the Olaplex line so much. I was born with thick, wavy/straight hair that has volume, but can be difficult to moisturize. Over the years, I've lost a lot of my hair and thickness due to aging, hormones, and A LOT of color experimenting. I try to save on products unless I actually see results, and buy products that deliver -- and let me tell you, the Olaplex line delivers. It is widely loved by hair salons, which makes me feel good, because I don't have to be so embarrassed when I go into the salon (by all the damage I do to my hair as a regular person).Now, let's talk about this oil. It's surprisingly very light and smooth, not sticky, and goes on very easily. I don't have to wash my hands after. Due to my thick hair, I use maybe double the amount the box says to use, so several drops, mixed with a deep conditioner or hair serum. A work it from my ends to the middle of the way up, but even if I did go to my roots, it wouldn't leave me with that oily root look we all don't like. Because you use a little bit each time, it can last a long time, though I do wish it was a bit more affordable. It smells fairly neutral, and has very long shelf-life. At the end of the day, I'm willing to pay for this quality product and it is a staple of mine. If I could only have one beauty product on a stranded island, makeup included, I would choose this.
