It does have the same chemicals that most grocery store bacon has. Excellent flavor and texture. You should buy sliced bacon because slicing turned out to be a bigger problem that I expected.

Just what I wanted
Being able to buy my bacon this way means I can cut it to the thickness I like but I can also share it. This bacon is always good.

great value
This was a great buy. The bacon was great and the ability to slice the bacon to my thickness was a positive plus. I hate the skinny cut you get for pre-packaged "thick cut" bacon. The bacon had a great taste and the value compared to store bought was well worth the extra effort to purchase and slice your own bacon.

so salty it is inedible
Very nice cut of Belly, very lean with some nice fat.. after receiving it, the bacon was still cold as the packaging worked well.. I cut a slab off to try and vacuumed packed the rest up and put it in the freezer. I then sliced some up for the frying pan, fried it up to a nice crispy the way I like it, very nice smoky aroma as it was frying up, I could hardly wait. Then I had a bite and almost spit it out because it was sooooo salty. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the remainder. Probably chuck it in the garbage. Maybe some bean soup, I don't know, I would not recommend this bacon to anybody, not even my ex-wife.

6.5 lbs of Awesome !
Good Lord that is some awesome Bacon ! Juicy, meaty, and flavored just right! They advertise 5 1/2 - 6 1/2 lbs - ours was 6 1/2 lbs. Once we opened the package, we hand-sliced it into thick pieces and froze it. Now we have enough bacon for eating and seasoning. Absolutely will buy again!
