Red Devil 0777 Lifetime Ultra 230 Premium Elastomeric Acrylic Latex Sealant, 10.1 oz, Clear

This has performed fine for me as a general purpose exterior caulk. It's easy to work with -- it dispenses and applies smoothly (provided you use a good quality caulking gun), adheres well, sets up pretty quickly but not so fast that you don't have time to smooth it out/touch it up. Cleanup is easy with soap and water. It's paintable, but I can't speak to how well it takes paint since I'm not painting over it (the caulk is white and the window frame is also white, so no need to paint). It's impossible to know how long it will last until years have gone by, but so far it's been holding up strong. I've used many other Red Devil products in the past and all have performed well, so I am not anticipating any issues with this. Good value for the price.

Good product

This acrylic caulk is a little runny, so go slowly and use sparingly. It helps to have caulking tools, a wet towel and plastic gloves for your fingers. I needed an easy to clean acrylic caulk for tight spaces around a bar sink. I wasn’t sure if I could trust the basic acrylic caulk in big box stores, because now the kitchen/bath caulk ALL have silicone added, which can be to clean up around a sink and tile backsplash., and clean off your hands.

Got this to help seal gaps and block sound from coming in. It helped out a lot. Not sure how many db but if you can’t afford green glue this is the next best thing.

I chose clear Red Devil Lifetime Ultra Premium for its protection against mold and mildew, to replace cracked regular latex caulk over the top edge of quarter round moulding at the base of my bathtub. It was thinner than expected during application, but it firmed up as well as a non-water-resistant elastomeric sealant I had used on baseboards in other rooms. I painted over it lightly after about an hour, and it held up fine. Mistakes were easy to wipe up using Windex. With temps as low as the 20s at night, there is enough temperature variation in the house to test the elastomeric qualities, and Red Devil hasn't cracked so far (less than one month). I'm impressed with elastomeric sealant in general, and this is now my top choice where water-resistance is needed indoors. I haven't tried it outdoors, so can't comment on that.

Haven't used the product yet. Everything it says sounds like what I need. Looking forward to using it next week. Unfortunately one of the tubes is missing the cap. Fred it might dry out if I don't use all of it right away.

I thought this caulk would be darker. The description just says 'brown', but the picture you select from shows a very dark brown. It's not...it's like milk chocolate brown. It's not dark enough so I'm not sure I'll be able to use it. Seems like decent caulk...I just wish it had a more accurate description of color...as there are quite a few possible shades of brown.

This stuff is rugged but keep in mind needs 72 hours to set up completely. I used it to seal a new kitchen sink in place…dropped a couple of cases of soda in there to hold sink in place while it set up. The house will fall down before the sink seal gives way, but 72 hours is a long time to wait without a kitchen sink.
