2000 silver - elegant fountain pen in a velvety matt polished stainless steel barrel - 14 ct. gold nib, partially platinum-plated - nib size EF

Ordered this after seeing it in different places online. I have tried Lamy fountain pens previously, but never found anything I liked. This has a nice weight to it, and many have pointed out that it can feel heavy. I like the balance. It feels substantial when holding it. The piston filler is very smooth. No issues filling the pen. I found that the EF tip was just about perfect. The writing is quite smooth, with a steady ink flow. No gaps or skips at all, not even the first time writing. Smooth feel to the barrel could be a little slippery, but I haven't noticed any issues so far. Great pen. Feels and looks very "high-end," but with a reasonable price.

I love this pen. It’s writes wonderfully and smooth. Beautiful design. And the piston operation functionality makes it a perfect everyday writer.

This is a fantastic pen. The way it lays down the ink is perfect. The Bauhaus design is timeless . The heft of the pen lets you know this is a fine quality writing instrument. I have 10+ Mont Blanc, Waterman, and Pelican fountain pens, many costing upwards of $1,000, this pen writes as well if not better than all of them.

I've been playing around with fountains for about a year. Always wanted the Lamy Matte and Stainless versions. Bought both. They are exceptional!

EF writes like a medium. Writes better than my cheaper and more expensive fountain pens.

Best purchase of all time. I thought beforehand, "If a pen costs this much, well, it better blow me at least once a week. " Well, this pen does exactly that. It's incredible. Best bargain of the century. Thank you, Lamy!

I have enjoyed the xf stainless for at least 3 yrs. This fp is above excellent. This is an easy to recommend purchase. The only comments....not complaints..... Are no ink window on the stainless and it is very slippery and easy to drop. Great pen.

Très déçu j'ai acheté ce stylo 300 € pour une plume extra fin à aujourd'hui ça fait deux jours que j'écris on dirait des grosses pattes de mouches

Décidément c’est impossible d’avoir une plume EF réellement extra-fine avec ce Lamy 2000 : je l’ai commandé 3 fois (deux fois en black une fois en silver) et n’ai jamais été satisfait : plume entre fine et moyenne (2 fois) et une fois large. C’est décevant car j’aime beaucoup la prise en main et le mécanisme intégré de recharge de l’encre. Dommage…

ほかの人のレビューでは、重さが指摘されていた。確かに、一般的なタイプよりは重いが、自分には気にならない程度である。それより、外観は、総ステンレスで頑丈そうだが、首軸、胴軸の継ぎ目をつなぐネジは樹脂製。間にキャップ固定用の金具を挟む構造。樹脂製のスタンダードと変わらない。水洗いには便利だが、キャップ着脱を繰り返すたびに、ストレスがかかりそう。このあたりの改良はされてなさそうである。 実用品として、使い倒すには不安が残りそう。軸折れのトラブルが恐ろしい。承知の上で買ったから、何とも言えないが…。そんな不安も、デザインの秀逸さでかき消される。
