This works wonderfully
It tests temperature at various locations. I bought it to test my pot as I cooked over a campfire. It gave differing reading depending on where the dot was located as appropriate. I told my son shut your eyes, I put the dot on his forehead and it was 96.8. That was a good test.

Not as precise as I'd like it to be
This is about 10-20 degrees off. It is good for a general heat level when cooking on a flat top, which is what I use it for, but if I were to try and use it for precision, I'd rather not use infrared.

Awesome Temperature Gun!
We love this temperature gun. We use it on cooking coffee and measuring the temperature of our coffee to do our coffee enemas. It's accurate and sturdy! We got two of them. Great product! Thank you very much!

I had better
I misplaced the one that I had previously bought from Amazon or somebody took it so I bought a cheap 1 and this is cheap it malfunctions all. The time at the end it works how accurate I don't know but I get an idea what the temperature is and until it breaks completely then I'll. Shop for a new one.
