Black or White [Blu-ray]

It wasn't exactly what I expected, but I found it extremely honest. Race continues to be a hot button topic. Keven Costner is one of my favorite actors, and Olivia Spencer--love her! They made a winning combination. The young actress that played Eloise was amazing. She brought a tenderness and wisdom to the character that was very touching. All in all, I thought it was a great movie.

Excellent. Great family viewing. Especially significant is the fact that this project is based on actual events. Octavia's interaction with the Judge is hilarious! Kevin Costner, Jillian Estell, and Octavia Spencer really reeled this one in.

I have watched this movie about three or four times. I like it because it covers some much-needed topics like racism, problems with alcohol as well as emotional experiences like losing a loved one and dealing with drug/alcohol addiction. I love Kevin Costner in this as well as Octavia Spencer who am I really love in every movie that I've seen her in. Kevin Costner plays a lawyer who has recently lost his wife and is raising his bi-racial granddaughter. Octavia Spencer is the child's grandmother and her son is the father of the young girl and is battling drug addiction, . It's a good one to watch if you're in the mood for something that's kind of emotional but has a really good story to tell.

WOW! This was not what I was expecting. What a fantastic piece of film! Every character is motivated by love, both in all its negative and positive motivations. Rarely does one witness in modern day cinema that, in the end, all characters opted to rise to the occasion and do the absolute correct and loving action while knowing their hard limits. This is one that questions you really to take a moment and ponder how all of us could really improve our situations if we lead with our hearts/gut and not with our ego/brain. I hope many more people get the chance to enjoy this GEM, it seems a pity that it was not more broadly viewed while in distribution but with any luck, people will take the time to view it in their own homes!

It was interesting, non-racist and a plot that held my attention.

I like this movie. It's well acted and the story is plausible. A good family watch.

Great story; but I found the characters not uch too my liking

Hats off to Kevin Costner for taking on this subject of race. I thoroughly enjoyed the film and hope to see more like films this this Black or White.
