"Nice Hair"
I shampooed and conditioned her hair right after I got her. Her hair turned out well . I had no large loss of hair. The hair is easy to work with, unlike the other brand that I bought first and threw away. This Zenyinfa brand Mannequin head is easy to work with, and I would recommend it to any and every one who needs one .

The most true to form 3-4b curl pattern I have found.
I have searched far and wide for a mannequin that has a realistic African-American curl pattern, as there are no known hair banks that stock true ethnic hair for mannequin use. Therefore the closest we can get is by using either yak hair (which I think is rediculous) and that obviously fails by a long shot, as there is zero curl. Then we must rely on Eastern European or Indian hair that has been very closely and tightly coiled and permanently waved. The above method seems to work however even permed hair loses much definition very quickly, albeit less noticeably with a lose curl. Though with a tight coil it is very appearent and not desired. This mannequin:Out of all the mannequins I have come across (and that includes most available) this is unique in that it arrives with the hair untangled in a demure way. As soon as you wash it the curls spring from seemingly nowhere! Is this magic? The hair remains very manageable and soft yet tightly coiled, giving a texture close to that of a 3 to maybe 4b curl pattern. With good care and the least amount of heat styling she will keep these coils and is the best I have for cornrows, sew-ins, you name it. An unexpected find. As a liscenced cosmetologist practicing for over 15 years I recommend this.

Love It but Not Entirely Accurate
I bought this head for me and my girls to practice braided hairstyles on. I actually love the head even though the hair is not as coiled as expected; it's not even like an afro as seen in the marketing pic, however, I think if I comb it out with a pic it might look more like an afro. What I love is that there aren't huge spaces between the hair implants on the scalp like fake barbie hair; it's real close to how a real person's is! I also like that the hair is really thick which will give my girls and idea of how it is to braid with hair like theirs. Another thing to note is that the hair texture changes when you wet it to an entirely different hair type. I posted a pic of the hair that I wet to give you an idea. I'm going to let it dry and see if it shrinks and goes back to it's original texture and type; so far after 30 minutes of drying it looks exactly the same as it was when wet. I still like it overall, but if you're looking for 4c hair, this is not it. However, if you're just looking for really thick hair to practice on, then this is a must!

Not REAL Coily Hair But Okay
I’m a fairly new braider who braids my own hair. Lately folks have been offering to pay me to also braid their hair.I’ve never braided anyone’s hair and never had even braided my own until about four months ago. I need to learn how to Plat (a.k.a. Cornrow, French braid) because it is sooo beautiful and I want to Plat my own hair and other people’s if I decide to braid others’ hair.I order three of these heads with three seemly different hair textures: coily, wavy and straight, or so I thought.I was thinking of why it’s so difficult to get my hands on beautiful coily, truly coily hair like my own; you know the kind that shrinks when wet or while it’s air drying. My hair is the later kind, it elongates when wet and shrinks as it dries (unless it’s manipulated by some external source). Then I realized that haír like mine is very, very rare and precious and I think that it doesn’t occur to many people with our hair that it is worth selling when it should really be the highest priced kind of hair because of its uniqueness and rarity. That being said, the coily (kinky) hair is not truly coily. It is exactly the same as the head that has wavy hair. I agree with the other reviewers who said that it isn’t truly coiled so if you’re thinking of buying three heads, save your money and skip the wavy because that is what you’ll get anyway.I could’ve made due with the straight and so called “kinky” looking heads.

Terrifying yet super helpful
Well other than being awesome at scaring the hell out of my cleaning lady I am successfully able to give my daughter a french braid. Please beware first time hair braiding people that this doll head does not yell or scream at you if you are doing this to rough or tight so please practice being gentle.

Amazing Texture
After washing the mannequin head I felt just like a child again 😆 I can't seem to put it down. I love the texture, along with the curl pattern it gives. When styling, the hair locks in place which is great. This product is amazing and a must have if you don't have one
