The tools you already need are in your Jeep if you have the tool kit it came with. I would be careful when you take the tail-light housing off and be aware of how it sits back in place upon re-installation- No Gaps = No water = no shortages over time. Also if you are taking off the Mopar part , I NEVER had a success story taking off the old Mopar Part since it's housed very well. When you press down on the plastic pieces to remove the old housing before installing this product ,don't panic if you hear a snap. It's just the plastic pieces breaking off around the old housing as plastic ages and over time it will shatter - Like the coat hangers that snap in the closet. This happened on my 2019 and 2020 Jeep. NEVER pull the housing . The metal is thin around the housing and will bend easy. when it doubt ,Stop ! Have a glass of wine or beer and watch vids on how its done. Once I removed it , I installed the new unit. I was surprised I could tug on it and it pops back off with a lot of pressure. I was hoping it would snap into place so it was more secure. Other than that , the housing is plastic and the door is metal. It feels strong and has a nice hinge. For the price , it's a great deal compared to the ones that go for the higher 60's to 100's of dollars once you get into the actual Jeep parts. But probably for good reason you get what you pay for. I plan this lasting about 3-5 years. The plastic housing that surrounds the cap will be exposed to summer heat , winter salt , dampness of the fall so it's just a matter of time I will be buying a new replacement since it does not lock in like the original. Awesome if you are on a budget and like to change it up on how you dress your Jeep. Happy Amazoning.

Looks good and functions very well. The install was not as easy since 2 clips did not snap in place easily. I had to reach in from the brake light opening and push out the clips to snap in place and snug against the metal tightly, otherwise there would be a small opening around the rubber piece that would let water and debris in. End result: Extremely Satisfied.

I added this to my wife's 2020 JLU and it was a very easy install along with much cheaper then the MOPAR Jeep gas door. Now this completes the gas cap area and doesn't look like it has a big hole on the side.

A wonderful addition to our 2019 Wrangler Sport. The original factory setup looks like they missed a part on the assembly line! One screw and a few steps later it looks finished. Great instructions, product and price. Very wrangler needs this.

This was my first time changing anything on a vehicle. I watched a video, followed the instructions & installed it by myself. I’m very please with it.

This product was very simple to install and looks great on my Jeep Wrangler. This version has the rubber seal that goes around the fuel line. (Some of the older postings mentioned this part wasn’t included - they must have updated the design) Highly recommend!

Looks great and fits well on my JLU. One complaint is that it does not come with the rubber seal. I had to take the one off of the factory gas insert and install it on this one. From experience do not try to reglue the gasket on this part; just put it on after you install the door cover.

Had some fun installing it cause it is a very tight area to work in, but I was able to get the job done. It looks really nice now that it is installed and was well worth the money I paid.
