Retell GI Joes origin
GI Joe was a fighting man in the 60's then the war became unpopular so Hasbro made GI Joe a man of adventure. That toy line has had such an impact on my life. Served in Airborne unit for 12 years then. Since then it has been one adventure after the other.

Fantastic
I loved the character development of Chuckles and how the Cobra Commander was done. Great series.

Must have for any comic book GI JOE fan
So far I like this collection. The art and stories are great. The Snake Eyes story was the best in book#4. Package came a few days late but was in perfect condition when it arrived.

GREAT COLLECTION
This Collection is well worth the money and we are trying to collect them all. Love Chuck Dixon and think he is a talented writer.

Where I started regretting getting these.
(This review essentially applies to all five books currently available in this series.)To start, I’ve liked almost all incarnations of GI Joe I’ve seen.I bought the books of this series for the main GI Joe title. The art from that title is very good and the story line is a well done, serious retelling of the MASS device story from the original cartoon.Unfortunately, the stories from the other books are sub-par, to say the least. At lot of reviewers want to call it “edgier and darker”. I call them sadistic, especially the stories from the various COBRA titles. The artwork does not compare to the main title. It comes across as too stylized or artsy. I did not like it personally. This volume one of the most sadistic COBRA based stories ever, concerning the recruitment of prospective COBRA recruits and another (*could be in the same story, I'm trying to forget) where Gen. Hawk is a total A..and abandons an informant to death. I was horrified this was included.
