Well worth the money!!!!!
I am a recently retired HVAC tech. I can only say...WOW! lets start with the item packaging. Everything was well packed and arrived undamaged. Everything seems well made and well thought out. Even the line set had perfect flares. The only thing I can say is a negative is the power/signal cable between the condenser and the air handler is about two feet shorter than the line set. The line set is easy to bend and is seamless, so if you had to re-flare it, it shouldn't split at the seam. I used a little Nylock on the flares and upon evacuation system held a vacuum with no measurable loss of vacuum in 24 hours. Once the system was pressurized, no leaks noted via leak tester or old fashioned soap bubbles. System passed all tests on startup. Even the amazon alexa setup was easy. Note that this is installed in an unconditioned space. I tested it the other morning, Outside temp was 33F. The indoor air handler was blowing 128F air!!!!! I am impressed!!! Once upon a time, you were lucky to get 90 degree air out of a heat pump. I am heating/cooling only 240 sq feet ( uninsulated) with 18000 BTU's and this thing brings the temp up quite rapidly. The fact that I can tell the system to switch on and set the temp via Alexa is awesome. Also note that there appears to be parts available as well if they are ever needed. I did have a minor issue with figuring where to plug the wifi dongle so I reached out to customer service. They were quick to respond and quite helpful, so A+ there as well. I could have spent a little less, but I felt this was all around a better product.

Seems to be working fine, no problems with install.
I have put in maybe 6 or 7 senville mini splits now and no problem with any of them after several years. This one is pretty quiet and puts out a nice amount of heat. Only issue I had was the wifi adapter it comes with only works with alexa and not the net home plus phone app, so I had to buy that separately but now it works fine remotely.

Great product
I’m very pleased. Product is very well assembled and sealed. Pressurized great. Small details are evident and made for a smooth install. At max heat (86deg) it was putting out 115 deg 👍. Fan is super quiet, and features are great for this price. Paid about $1k to have professionally installed. Suggest doing that so testing and hose cleaning can be done for best performance.

Good basic unit
This is a review of the Senville 18K BTU LETO heat pump. I installed this unit myself, so I have no warranty to fall back on. That was a risk I was willing to take to save the installation fee, which is often $400 or more. And some contractors will not install a unit they did not sell. But the installation went fine. I watched a couple of YouTube videos and bought a vacuum pump with gauges ($129) to make the job possible. I also bought a product that you smear on the connections to increase their reliability. The most time consuming part of installing the unit was mounting the indoor and outdoor units. As others have said, it would be very helpful if Senville supplied a template for mounting the indoor unit. Both the indoor and outdoor units are very quiet, attractively styled, and do the job they are made to do. I did have a couple of disappointments, however. First, the "swing" feature that spreads the air around works only up and down. I had thought the advertisement said the vent fins would swing side to side as well. They do not. There are fins that direct the airflow horizontally, and they can be manually moved to change the airflow direction, but they won't sweep side to side on their own. I read through the ads and the technical literature on Senville's website, and the operation of the sweep feature is not mentioned, as far as I can tell. Second, the remote controller does not support programming the unit for different times of day or days of the week. It's a fairly basic remote. The Alexa integration might enable one to program the unit, but I have found that you have to choose between controlling the unit with Alexa and controlling it with the remote. They don't play well together. The remote does not know what Alexa is doing to the unit and gets out of sync. Alexa seems to know what the remote has done, however. Anyway, it's confusing to use both. I need to use the remote because not everyone in the house is a fan of Alexa. So after playing with the Alexa integration for a while, I have decided to disable it. I am a sad nerd. Neither the lack of horizontal swing nor the Alexa integration problem are too big a deal to me, so I'm happy with my purchase, especially for the price. But I would be even happier if I had know about these two issues before I decided to buy the Senville unit. Update: The unit has been running for a couple of weeks now, flawlessly. The temperature in the room is very stable. I simply forget that it's there doing its job. I have discovered that the follow me feature has a serious limitation; the remote control must be within visual range of the wall unit. You cannot take the remote into another room and expect the heat pump to monitor the temperature in that room. If the wall unit does not get a message from the remote for 8 minutes or so, the follow me feature is effectively turned off and the wall unit temp. sensor takes over. I think the remote transmits the temperature it senses every 2 or 3 minutes. I still use the feature since my wall unit is mounted near the main entrance, which is slightly cooler than the middle of the room in the winter, but I cannot leave the remote in its wall holder since that kills the link between it and the wall unit because the IR beam is pointed at the ceiling.

I'm impressed by this units performance. Installed in a 24 x 30 well insulated garage in April. Cooling performance in summer was great. Was expecting this but looked forward to seeing how it performed in heating mode. I'm in Winnipeg, -25c this morning and it was still pushing heat. Crazy. My 8kw hydronic in-floor boiler has yet to fire and its December 7th. Our November power bill was 40% less this year than last.

This is amazing. We have not had a good heat source and so expensive to get a heat pump system put in by a contractor so we got this and my husband is very handy and with help of you tube and couple friends he was able to install it himself. We have two level. We may need another one in basement but this one heats the whole house really well. Very happy with it.

Wanted to wait a bit and see how it would hold up, but I'm pretty impressed so far! Installed this 15 months ago, and has now been through two summers and one winter. Did the installation myself, but had an electrician come in to wire the 220v needed outside. Installation was pretty straightforward so long as you are a DIY kind of person. Keeps my 500 sq ft garage at a comfortable temperature year round. Heat pump does not do well below -10c but we knew this going in and have an alternate heat source for when the temperature falls below this. Definitely recommend!

The power off and on key sometimes doesn't function and needs to be applied repeatedly with various combination of other keys. In general not a fan of the programming of the remote control. Also it constantly belows air even when the temperature has reached the set point. I would rather it had a function that would stop and start blowing air based on set temperature thresholds
