Works great!
I installed this unit in my Jayco Designer after the original Iota unit failed. Installation was straight forward and uneventful. During initial test run I noticed the relay made a solid thump when it closed. This was different from faint click that the old Iota unit made. Also noticed a faint a.c. hum when I was standing right next to it. The hum could not be heard inside the coach so no problem there. I like the fact that the unit is housed inside a steel box. The old Iota unit was in a plastic box and suffered major thermal damage when it failed. Overall, I think this is a quality transfer switch. The only negative I can see is the thump it will make in the middle of the night should the shoreline power fail.

Perfect replacement
Perfect match to the one that I had... Had a outlet installed and the electrician hooked up the hot neutral in the wrong spot. It could have fried everything in the RV. Thank God that it only fried the shore side of this box. The replacement went right in

The perfect RV transfer switch.
I had to replace the Transfer switch in my Motor home, after reading all of the information out there on the web regarding replacement Transfer switches I decided to go with the Progressive Dynamics PD52v 50 amp Transfer switch. I did the installation myself, the installation was pretty simple and while I was at it I did some major electrical clean-up. I re-routed a lot of wires and did a nice installation. While I was replacing the transfer switch I replaced the on-board battery charger too. They are both working perfectly with no problems.

Good product.
Good and solid. I didn't end up needing it for the project I was working on though.

Perfect Replacement - slighly different size
This has a slightly different foot print then my original 50amp ATS, so I was afraid it wouldn't fit. It is a bit taller and narrower then your typical ATS, but about the same total size. I ended up discarding the exterior screw tabs, and using the screw holes on the inside for a little extra clearance in my tight electrical compartment. Note - this does NOT come with wire clamps, so make sure you can re-use your old ones, or make a run to the hardware store to get new ones. I ended up using 3x1" - they were a different size then my originals.I also installed a (per the instructions) jumper on the board to remove the 30 second switch over, as I use this for an inverter, which worked perfectly. The jumper was not included, however the one on my spare furnace board worked perfectly.Other then that, no major issues, and NO HUMMING. The picture is rather poor, but hopefully shows the size difference between the original (left) and this one (right).

Worked great for my inverter.

Garbage. Left me stranded.
Was delivered Mar 29th and installed that afternoon. Lasted 1 week (Apr 5th) till it malfunctioned leaving me inconvenienced. Have to bypass the switch to get power. Happened at a time we are travelling in our RV so impossible to order a new one. Will look at other options when I return home.
