Best sleep I’ve had since I was a little kid!
Let me begin with the fact that I’m not getting paid for this, nor did I receive my weighted blanket for free. I wish that I did, I’d get another one! I’ll update this review in another couple weeks. Also again after 6 months or more to attest to its durability. That said, I just had my first night sleeping with this blanket and it was nothing short of miraculous. Honestly.I usually wake up about every 1-2 hours because of back pain and/or anxiety. Last night I slept 9 hours total—only waking up once! This weighted blanket made me feel like I was a little kid with many layers of blankets, and something psychological happened to make me feel more comfortable and “safe” than I have felt in many years. All that made me feel more comfortable than I would have imagined before I tried this blanket.I slept 6 hours of deep comfortable REM sleep (with nice non-anxious dreams) and only woke up to use the bathroom once, and went back to sleep for another 3 hours of very deep sleep. 9 hours for me is usually unheard of. Well, 8 hours is unheard of.For those of you with anxiety or pain that are causing sleep issues, I highly recommend trying a weighted blanket. Of it doesn’t help at all for you, or is too heavy or light—send it back for a different weight, or just get a refund of it is a total hit and miss.It was a great help for me, if not the last step in my quest for restful and comfortable sleep. My normal average is about 6 hours of sleep each night, again waking every 1-2 hours because my back pain and anxiety—that causes me to be exhausted during the day.I work in a stressful corporate job, 40 + hours/wk, so I normally have to drink strong coffee and strong green tea all day to be productive because of the lack of sleep—I am basically miserable and just powered by caffeine on most days, and putting a fake smile on for everyone. Well, not anymore.I have tried many thousands of dollars worth of different bed frames, mattresses, and toppers that are touted to be “the best” for people with back and joint pain. They are usually more firm or medium-firm mattresses with a softer top.I’ve tried every “miraculous” new type of “cooling memory foam” “space age technology” yadda yadda. These aforementioned frames/beds/toppers all help to some degree, but because of both back pain and anxiety I still “toss and turn” and have had a lot of problems with overheating. I’ve been a “hot sleeper” since I was a kid. I didn’t have the hot sleeping issue with this blanket. I just used some light cotton sheets and it was sublime. Now what weight should you get? Well that of course will most likely be different for everyone, but here is what worked for me. About 10% of my body weight, and I rounded up. I went with a 25 lb blanket.I am 41, 6’ 2”, 240 lbs, muscular build with chronic lower back pain from 3 herniated discs and nerve pain/numbness. For my pain I do physical therapy exercises, other workouts, and low impact cardio 4-7 times per week, along with a healthy diet to lower my inflammation. Also, again I’ve spent a great deal of time and money on expensive beds and mattress toppers.Everything helps bit by bit, but this weighted blanket really seems to provide the most relief for my sleeplessness. I would heave never believed it, until I tried it.That’s it for now. Again, I’ll report back after a couple weeks and again after 6 months or so to attest to this product’s durability. Thanks for reading and hope it works for you as well as it did for me!

BEST blanket. Drapes over the body and cold air pockets can’t form under the blanket. Perfect.
Wow. I got the blanket (rush shipping; it got here the next day, 10 hours later, at 6am—my heating blanket broke and I’m freezing lol. My new heating blanket won’t arrive until the 10th) and put it out on my couch to see what it’s like. Skip ahead four hours later.I wake up to this picture lmao. I had already slept eight hours the night before. I got up at 6 preparing to wait for the blanket, but it was already delivered (love that spinning yellow ring on Alexa; thanks Amazon).Oh my god. It traps heat so well. It’s so comfortable. My cat loves it too, and he usually sleeps on top of the couch because I’ll move my feet and legs a lot to get warm. They get uncovered. Not with this blanket. Hot damn. He and I both slept, unmoving, for four hours. Without even intending to on my part. He was probably just excited I was sleeping and not flailing my legs to and fro trying to get warm.I was trying to find a way to contact the seller so I could thank them directly. So I’ll just say it here.THANK YOU. This blanket is EXACTLY what I’ve been dreaming of my whole life. Can’t believe I went over 30 years trying to use normal blankets. This is truly brilliant!!Idk about the comments about being hugged or tucked in, so I’ll answer it in a more realistic way. When you’re sleeping with, say, a down comforter... they’re ultra comfy, right? Right. But they leave pockets which fill with cold air. And if that part of the blanket touches you, the temperature is different. It’s cold. That coldness wakes a lot of us up.This blanket doesn’t allow those pockets to form. The weight perfectly drapes across your entire body and seals it, like you got vacuum sealed into your blanket. Yet it is still breathable.I don’t write reviews very often because I just don’t have the time. But this.... this... I wrote it while still laying on my couch with my cat still asleep on my legs. Lol. It needs an immediate review. If you struggle to sleep, struggle to stay warm, I TRULY recommend this blanket. My heating blanket which only heats to level “5” out of 1-9 then max. Lol. It’s too cold for me. But putting this blanket over it, it TRAPS the heat. Such a perfect combo. Either way, combined with a heating blanket or used alone, this is a MUST BUY.It’s 2x cheaper than other 20 lb blankets at the time of writing this review. I almost gave up and bought a 15 lb. BOY am I glad I found this.THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Questionable quality. But most flaws would play to your advantage.
It is a really heavy 30 lbs blanket. Putting it in a queen size ikea’s cover is like going to gym. No complains here. I wanted to buy a heavy blanket, I got it. 20 lbs did not work for me. I do not think this blanket is really warm. I slip in a cold room. At 18C I need an extra blanket on top.The main con of this blanket is that glass bids and the whole blanket inside the cover slides like crazy. After 1-2 days all weight is at the bottom and on one side of my bed. Putting blanket in place is a heavy lifting exercise. Why do I say flaws play to your advantage? It is better to have weight down at your waist level and below, and a very little weight at your throat level. In the future weighted blankets could be differentiated by this trait. I do not think the company did it on purpose though. It just happened. Also, the fact that the blanket is very fluid makes its weight (whatever is left in place) distribute properly around your body and legs.I my option this blanket is overpriced. The fair price for this blanket would be 90 CAD, and not 199 CAD. Unfortunately, there are not many options for 30 lbs blankets.
