Game changer. Problem solved.
I used to have the hardest time finding shoes that fit and didn't hurt my feet. These have seemingly changed that forever! I started with the blue Pinnacle insoles and was totally surprised how quickly my feet felt better. I wore Superfeet blue and green insoles while I was in the Army (11B, so I put many miles on my feet...). I tried them more recently and found them too unforgiving for daily wear. The Powerstep have a little more flex and better cushioning and over the last few months have found them a total game changer for foot comfort. Over the years, I've tended to shy away from shoes with too much arch support, because it generally isn't the right arch for my feet. I have average to low arches, but certainly not flat feet. Yet I find that too much arch support seemed to hurt me just in front of my heel. What I've learned over time is that it's likely I notice the poor fit of shoes when my feet hurt. My feet of course hurt from poor fitting shoes which lack the right support. Most insoles or new shoes are going to be uncomfortable at first when your feet hurt. It's very hard to be objective when your feet hurt. Which brings me to these insoles. When I first put them in my shoes, my initial impression was "no way, too much arch!", but having read a lot of reviews and articles about foot health, I knew that my feet hurt because my arches were unsupported in most of my shoes, and that I need to give them some time. After 1 full day, my impression of the insoles had totally changed! At the end of that first day my feet were a little tired, but way less sore. After a week, I noticed the heel pain had nearly disappeared, leaving me to notice a little metatarsal / ball of the foot pain. So I sprang for these. Initial impression, "what the hell am I standing on?!". They feel a bit awkward at first, but after about 30 minutes walking, they feel totally natural. These solved the ball of the foot pain completely. I have many pairs of shoes I seldom wear because they hurt my feet. But most of them are totally viable now with these insoles in them. It's THAT vast a difference!

Works better than medical inserts!
I finally found an insert that works with my feet. It was easy to fit in my shoes and totally takes away the issues With my metatarsal issues. Must inserts are for ball of feet or arch support which doesn’t help my “bony” feet. My foot doctor recommended these. Much cheaper than paying for professional inserts and work better.

Amazing
I suffer from plantar fasciitis, and my foot doctor recommended these inserts, which are amazing. I can now walk without being in excruciating pain. Pain is tolerable now, and I'm glad that I can get up and move again.

Not wide enough
Returned. Arch support and ball of foot support is great. However , the inserts are not wide enough in the toe box! I even tried a larger size, and you would think that an item meant for ball of foot pain would cover this. My big toe and inner side foot were straddling the inserts… not good.

Good orthotics that help compensate my two different arch heights.
I have high arches and decided to take advantage of the low price of PowerStep Pinnacle Plus Met women’s size 8-8.5 during the Black Friday sales. I’ve never had to cut these to fit any of my shoes. I have bought these for several years now and decided to write my review why. I take plenty of photos when I review a product to show how I formed my honest opinion while using the item, but they don't always upload in sequential order. I had also ordered a pair of SUPERfeet and did a comparison. The hard plastic “stabilizer caps” underneath both orthotics are sturdy and durable to support my weight when I walk. After walking in one of each PowerStep and SUPERfeet around the neighborhood, there was a noticeable difference between the two orthotics. I pulled them out of my shoes and studied them more closely. I hope you can see from my side-by-side photos with my pointing fingers that the highly rated SUPERfeet has a deeper slope down, and the PowerStep has a gradual upslope towards a supportive metatarsalgia pad. I then remembered that I have two different arch heights, which complicate things and always affect my walking comfort. I found my wet feet arch height drawings from 2/2023, and you can see that my left foot has a higher arch than my right. It then occurred to me that the PowerSteps with the metatarsalgia pads help compensate for my different arches. That’s why they are my favorite, supportive and durable orthotic insoles. I highly recommend them.
