Martha Stewart's Favorite Crafts for Kids: 175 Projects for Kids of All Ages to Create, Build, Design, Explore, and Share

I ordered this book to get ideas for things to make with my 8-year old niece. Well, lo and behold, she came to visit, loved the book, and asked if she could take it home! What could I say? So I am ordering my second book, as I got such a kick out of all the cute ideas. Perfect for making homemade things to sell at your Christmas bazaar, or just to have for your own inspiration. Clear, concise photos and directions. Original ideas that make you think "now why didn't I think of that"?

I always figure anything by Martha Stewart is going to be difficult to do as she has talent I don't possess. But this is a wonderful book and so easy to obtain the things needed to build and design things for kids. I have a 3 year old granddaughter and she has adopted this book as her own because the pictures are of kids doing the projects, wonderful photography and bright illustrations. We have done three of the projects and they were easy, and we found all the articles at Jo Ann's or Michaels. I would recommend this book and I don't think you'd be disappointed.

We just recently bought this book and have already had a lot of fun painting rocks, making pipe-cleaner animals, etc. Most of the projects are really cute and fun, my only hang-up from a 5-star rating is that many of the projects require special craft supplies or things that aren't readily available at even your local HoLo. Now I have to buy a pom-pom maker, among other things. But with that said, it still has a lot of great projects for kids of all ages. I have two girls, but I was really impressed with how this was not one of those craft books that leans heavily towards the girly glitter and fairies. ALL kids will find plenty of fun things to make. Oh, and start saving TP rolls and cereal boxes now...

My 8yr old loves this book. She immediately had several pages booked marked that she wanted to do.

I am a craft-challenged mom of a 5-year-old boy. My boy LOVES to make stuff, and specifically wants to make stuff with me. Not in a class, but *with me*. I do not have any innate crafting ability and no skills either. This book is a great one-stop reference for crafting inspiration. Saves me hours of time trolling blogs and Googling for ideas. I have seen some of these projects in the magazine and/or on the website, but for my purpose this is great because everything is collected in one volume. Another awesome Martha book!

I bought this for my five-year old great-granddaughter, but it has something for all ages. The crafts are interesting, not too difficult, instructions are clear and precise, and most of the necessary supplies are easily available and inexpensive (some of them free). I am giving it to her together with a small box of supplies so she can start using it right away.

These are great projects! We bought this book for my daughter to take to a birthday party, and after looking through it she asked for it for Christmas. We’ve made several of the projects, which aren’t too hard and are fun. We’ll be gifting this again!

Have used this with all 4 grandkids ages 2-6 with great success. There is such a range of age for projects that we will be using this for years to come. Would be a great thing for an elementary school to have in each classroom. It has lots of projects all with lots of detailed photos and easy to follow directions.
