Perfect butter dish! The lip around the base makes it easy to pick up and move securely—I don't know why so many butter dishes get this wrong. The lid lifts off cleanly, and the dish is both pretty and generously sized, easily fitting Kerrygold butter sticks. Best of all, the butter sits slightly lower in the base than the lid, so the lid never presses into or cuts the butter like it does with some other dishes (see photo - I'm pointing to what I mean). The only downside is that it’s slightly off-white. I originally bought it to match my pure white dishes and bakeware. That said, it’s absolutely worth it. After trying several butter dishes, I didn’t realize how hard it was to find the perfect one—and the subtle off-white color ended up being a non-issue.

My mom has been looking for a butter dish for ages. She uses Kerrigold butter, which is almost as wide as 2 sticks of butter. We have looked all over locally, but find nothing practical. I decided to scour through Amazon and happened on this one, so I figured I would give it a shot. It arrived quickly and packaged very well to resist damage. It is well constructed and elegant looking - simple enough to be practical, but doesn’t look cheap and crude. The plate in which the butter sits is raised around the edges, so the butter stick won’t fall off the plate. It feels good and heavy weight with no sharp edges or visible flaws. It is pure white, so it goes along with all the dishware. Being ceramic, it holds in the temperature and it is perfect for those double wide sticks of butter or cream cheese blocks. My mom is very pleased with it and we have no issues with it. I would definitely buy this again!!

This has been perfect and fits a 'double' stick of butter perfectly. We have put it through the dishwasher multiple times and no signs of chipping, color fading, or scratches from butter knife usage. This keeps out butter fresh on the counter for weeks, doesn't slide around when you use it, and isn't an eyesore on the table.

Just as advertised holds half pound (approx: 2 sticks)of butter ie: Anchor, Kerrigold etc . Beautifully designed, functional dish. You will need to take it out 20 to 30 minites ahead of use or remove the cover for the butter to soften more quickly. The dish retains the cold refrigerator temperature for quite a bit and so leaving the cover on will result in little to no softening after quite a few minutes. A welcomed addition to any table.

I'm very pleased with size, shape and weight of this butter dish. I purchase European butter and to find a butter dish that fits that size, has a handle on top and will fit in my refrigerator covered shelf has been difficult. This butter dish checked every box. I like the white porcelain look and sturdiness. I'm sure to have this but dish for years.

Ich war echt enttäuscht von diesem Produkt. Hatte es als Weihnachtsgeschenk verschenkt, weil sich der jenige eine große Butter Dose, wo man mehr als 1 Stück rein bekommt gewünscht hatte. Leider mussten er und ich feststellen, das anstatt der 2 Stk. Butter, laut Artikel Beschreibung, leider nur 1 Stück rein passte. Dafür fand ich den Preis auch ganz schön hoch.Diesen Artikel werde ich nicht noch einmal bestellen.
