Awesome so far
First of all, I'm an extremely picky buyer and I have never written a product review before. This is literally my first one ever, and I buy a LOT of stuff on Amazon. However, given my experience with these JayBird Vista earbuds so far, I felt compelled to write a review based on my initial, admittedly short experience with them so far. It usually takes me a very long time to make purchase decisions, especially on higher-priced items, given how much research and wavering back and forth I typically do. Regarding this purchase, I finally pulled the trigger on buying wireless earbuds a little over a year ago after getting sick and tired of the inconvenience of tangled cords during my workouts. So, I originally purchased a pair of Anker SoundCore Spirit X over-the-ear, wireless (each ear connected by a wire, though) headphones in early 2019, and as a new wireless headphone user really loved them - fantastic sound, comfortable, easy to pair and use, and seemingly good value at $36 on Amazon (the price on them has come way down since then - for now-obvious reasons). After using the SoundCores only 10 or so times with no issues, then simply stopped working - specifically, after the battery started getting low, and I tried charging them, there was simply no response from the headphones - no LED lights, zero response after pressing any button, etc. So I contacted Anker support and they sent me a new pair, with no issues. I then used that pair for around the same amount of time, and literally the same exact thing happened with that second, replacement pair, too - just simply stopped working. Needless to say, this was extremely frustrating. So I then bought a pair of true wireless earbuds from TJ Maxx for around $25 (Merkury Cirrus), which were okay (they didn't really stay securely in my ears, especially when running, the sound was mediocre at best, etc., the Bluetooth connectivity was very finicky and would connect and disconnect if I moved my head a certain way, even holding my iPhone within a foot of the earbuds), but they did the job. I used them for 8 months or so, mostly when exercising, but then they also just stopped working - the right bud, which apparently is the only one with Bluetooth connectivity, apparently got damaged from sweat, rendering the pair useless. I then borrowed a pair of my wife's cheap, generic, Amazon-bought wireless over-the-ear headphones, which also did the job okay for around 2 weeks or so until I found them melting and about to start a fire while being charged a couple weeks ago. So I decided to finally go for it and spend the money I should have spent in the first place on a theoretically much better, higher-quality pair of wireless headphones and began doing a ton of research on the best ones, especially for workouts. Water resistance and secure fit were tied for my number one criteria, with sound quality a close second. After reading a ton of reviews, on Amazon, on Consumer Reports, and on CNET, among other sites, my decision came down to the JayBird Vista and the Beats Powerbeats Pro, given the consistent positive reviews for both. I thought I would ultimately go for the over-the-ear style (i.e., the Powerbeats Pros) for purposes of secure fit, not falling out, etc., but I was really drawn to the reviews on the JayBird Vistas - in a May, 2020 CNET review, for example, they were rated the most secure fit for workout headphones. The secure fit reviews, along with the high ratings on sound quality, the fact that they have the highest water resistance rating of any other ear bud I looked at (characterized as essentially waterproof with an IPX7 rating), and are described by the manufacturer as essentially "mil-spec" (military spec, given the "fully waterproof" rating, along with "Earthproof" - crush-proof, drop-proof, sweat-proof construction) really impressed me. Even though the Powerbeats Pros were supposedly on "sale" at $200 on Amazon (regularly $250), the JayBird Vistas were slightly less at $160 (also "on sale" on Amazon with a retail price of $180), which is ultimately what helped me finally decide. So I purchased them this past Saturday afternoon at around 2 pm, and to my amazement, they arrived on my front door step by Sunday at 10 am. I've only used them a couple times, since then - both during workouts, including in the rain just yesterday - and so far I'm extremely impressed. They were fully-charged out of the box, automatically paired, were super-easy to place into my ears and get a secure-feeling and very comfortable fit with already-installed the No. 2-sized eargels, basically blocked out all sound even before turning my music on, and then after turning my music on, sounded incredible. I'm a heavy sweater, and during and after my run in the rain yesterday, they didn't budge while exercising, and worked perfectly. I downloaded the JayBird app, which is cool because you can customize the sound with preset equalizer settings, or with your own custom settings, and again, the sound quality is truly excellent. Pure, deep base, crystal-clear highs, and smooth mids. I'm crossing my fingers that I continue to have good luck with these JayBird Vistas. If I have problems with them, I'll come back and update my review, especially since I haven't used them much yet. However, I'm very hopeful! Finally, I would have given these earbuds 5 stars in each category, but I gave them 4 stars for "noise cancellation" because they're not actual noise-cancelling earbuds with noise-cancelling technology (like a lot of Bose products). They do, however, basically serve as noise cancelling earbuds given the snug fit - when not playing music, they essentially serve as ear plugs (the fit is that tight - but still comfortable!).

My first pair of true wireless earbuds and I'm impressed!
My background: I was previously using the jaybird X3's that I bought in 2017. I loved those and had no issues with my pair. I decided to stick with the Jaybird brand and buy the vista's when they were announced. I don't consider myself an "audiophile" but I know how to appreciate high quality sound. This is my first pair of true wireless earbuds so I don't have anything to compare it to like airpods, jabra 65t, etc. I am a student so I primarily use these sitting down in the library. However, I do also use these when working out. After using these for over a month, here are my main thoughts:The fit: 5/5. These fit amazingly well for me. The medium wing tips that came straight out the box worked perfectly for me. I got a great seal when I put them in and they are so light. When working out, they never felt like they were loosening up or falling out of my ear. However, a friend of mine who has small ears tried these on with the "small" eargels and said she experienced ear fatigue really quickly. The "small" set aren't small, they just don't have the wings. Overall, I think these are great for most ears but I would look at a different pair if you have small ears. The sound: 5/5 These sound fantastic! They definitely sound better than my jaybird X3's and the app lets you customize the sound to your liking. The sound was boring and flat straight out the box but after customizing it, I really love it. I listen to mainly hip hop/EDM and the bass definitely hits hard. The sound isolation is so good and really lets you hear the details in the music. My only complaint is that because the sound isolation is so good, there's also lots of bone conduction (?). Basically, if i'm walking I can hear my footsteps, if i'm running I hear thumps, and sometimes after a really intense workout I can hear my heartbeat. It's important to note that this isn't only a jaybird vista issue, it happens whenever you use earbuds that seal the ear canal. It's not a huge con for me because I'm used to it (my jaybird X3's also had this happen).Battery/Connectivity: 4/5. I've had no issues with the battery so far. I get roughly 5-6 hrs per charge and the case holds the amount of charge stated. It doesn't hold nearly as much battery as its fall 2019 release competitors but the size of the case probably justifies that. Connectivity wise, I have noticed some occasional lag when i'm watching youtube or other videos on my apple devices (Macbook pro 2017, iphone 7+). This maybe happens about 10% of the time if i'm jumping through the video a lot or watching on 2x. However, my devices don't use BT5.0 so even tho the Vistas are BT5.0, my devices only allow BT4.2. This may be what's causing it. Overall though, i haven't had any major issues with battery/connectivity. My main reason for 4/5 rating is the lack of multipoint connection to multiple devices at once. I didn't realize how much I liked this function until I didn't have it on my vistas.TL;DR: Great secure fit, fantastic sound, good sound isolation, awesome for working out, the strap makes it convenient to carry around. No multi-point connection and not for small ears. I can't comment on call quality because I don't use these for phone conversations.
