Save yourself hours of time!
If you are thinking about it, stop and just buy it. I had 6 poles I wanted/needed to re-spool and this thing stripped the old stuff off in minutes. I think each spool had 200 yards on them for downrigger use and this thing took it all off all 6 rods without having to unload the old line. Time saved vs. cost is well worth the price. I highly recommend this.

Really Good Line Keeper
I use this device for my construction string lines. The spools I purchase at the hardware store either do not have a keeper or have a junky plastic handle that is difficult to use. This device is easy to use and is very easy to control while winding the string back on. The only issue I have had is that one end has a retainer clip to keep one of the tapered sections in place. This retainer has a tendency to pop off is a little force is applied while winding, so be aware. Otherwise, I like using it and it can handle a little abuse being in the toolbox.

A great tool for stripping reels.
I used this line remover last night setting up my reels for leadcore line this little tool was very handy and easy to use .I had line on the tool and had to remove some other line so I just wrapped the line from the second reel on the line already on the remover and pulled it tight and just started removing more line and added to it .When it came time to remove the line from the winder I could hardly believe how tight and easy to remove the line.The tapered spools are large and easy to use made this job very easy and I think that it was well worth the investment. It was super easy to get the line started just tighten the wing nut with the line in between.

The media could not be loaded. Essential for serious anglers. Frequent line changes or experimentation with new lines necessitate this tool. Its high-quality construction and components, coupled with fair pricing, make it a worthwhile investment.
