These are kind of cool.
I got these to be more-or-less decorative. They're for my experimental guitar on which I've replaced a lot of parts with black parts. I've had black strings on it, too, but I figured, hey, let's put red ones on it this time.I've had coated strings on it before (the aforementioned black ones) and they kind of... sucked. They did not want to work with the locking tuners, and didn't sound great. These guys, though, no problem with the tuners AND they sound pretty decent! Actually, my experiment-guitar hasn't sounded this good in ages.

Refreshing change of pace, quality and unique guitar strings.
These are the coolest and most unique I've ever tried. Probably because I just thought traditional acoustic strings were all more or less the same but with subtle differences/thicknesses/quality. But these were pretty cool. The fully coated strings are super smooth, like to the point of not having any resistance really, or even being able to feel the grooves of the coils on the EAD or G strings, so you could really /slide/ to other positions or chords seamlessly, and also without needing to have these calloused man hands we guitarists develop over time.Only thing I could see being a "downside" to some people, so to speak, would be that the coating dampens the sound and doesn't allow it to ring out forever like normal strings. But I say "could be" because I honestly found it to be another positive. It's really different than I've come accustomed to, and actually made my guitar sound more MELLOW, as opposed to just dampened. Allows you to play harder/louder during times when it might be more appropriate (kids sleeping, neighbors, etc). Pretty sure the main reason for the coating is, it makes them last a lot longer too, but I wouldn't know that part, because I've been on a string testing spree. All in all, it was refreshing to try something new, that actually felt, sounded, and even looked different, after years of playing guitar with the same boring stuff over and over again. Also would probably be good for beginners, as the strings are much less "stiff" and take a lot less effort to fret...although I do believe beginners should definitely try and get those calluses and learn how to fret on normal ones as it'll be more beneficial in the long run.Think I might order their "Black Beauties" to try out right now actually ha. Hope this rant helps someone. Peace.

Looks great but doesnt hold up great
I love the looks, the feel, the tone and they hold up mediocre. The red chips off the high strings pretty fast, but I shred the crap out of my strings. I beat my strings to heck, and wish they lasted longer. I am not paying for longevity here, I know I am paying for looks and I love the looks! I wish they were a couple of bucks cheaper for better value. I rebought.

Great Strings
Coated strings that don't feel coated, look terrific, and last 3-4 times as long as uncoated strings. What is not to love? I've got DR colored strings on 3 of my 10 guitars.

The Devils, you say?
Great strings - nice and clear without being too jangly. Easy to bend. Works well on acoustic-electric. In using for 3+ months, finally broke one string only after playing extra hard for 2+ hours (which is better luck than I've had with other strings). I play every day and these work well every day. Yes, the color wears a little where you are picking... but sound is still great.

High-priced, average quality
I've tried these strings 3 times now, and each time one of the strings has broken within 30 minutes of play. My guitar is not prone to breaking strings. No saddle burrs, etc. So, the problem lies with the string in my experience. I only play DR strings - Hi-beams, Tite-fit, and Pure Blues models, and would rate all but the Blues 5 stars. These simply look cool, but consistently disappoint. I will not buy another pair in the future, unless the quality improves. Stay away from these, unless 30 minutes of play is all you're expecting.

Awesome strings!
I have been enamored with the Red Devil strings since they first came out. They are clear, bright, and last a good long time. They also look phenomenal on my black RainSong carbon graphite guitar, with the sharks inlaid on the fret board. I highly recommend these strings to anyone wanting a good, clear tone from their steel-stringed guitar. However, I have had much difficulty finding them. If anyone out there knows where I could buy more Red Devils (acoustic), please let me know. I like to buy strings in bulk, but any way I could get these would be appreciated! Thanks!
