Fantastic deal for new divers! If you are going on a dive vacation, buying this set is cheaper than renting the whole way. I give the dive computer only about 3 1/2 stars, it's not as easy to use (PLEASE READ MANUAL - EVEN BEFORE YOU DEPART ON YOUR TRIP!) as some, the display is not that bright, but it WORKS FINE. and will do well for you as either air or nitrox. Everything else is good. I never heard of HOG, Edge, Sea Elite, but I will tell you the equipment worked well on a week long dive trip. Got the "small" for 21 y/0 female weighing about 145 lbs. Could have gone with Medium but the sizing is forgiving so it worked well, no problems. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for the non-professional, new, or intermediate sport diver. I have been Scuba diving since 1982, and have logged hundreds (not thousands) of dives, I got this set for one of my daughters and I have been highly satisfied. Thank you!

Great equipment all around. Seriously saves so much money - my boyfriend is jealous of my gear, he says it’s nicer than what he got and he paid double for the same stuff. Plus Diver’s Supply has great customer service. I ended up going into a shop to switch my first stage from yoke to din, no charge.

Great BCD and regs, even if they are entry level. Divers Supply customer service is phenomenal as well.

Overall super happy with this product since I am a beginner diver and not looking to invest in a $1000 BCD...yet. I've spent 5 hours underwater with this gear so far, so here's my experience. Regs: super comfortable and doesn't press up against the lip. The octopus is a tad longer than my liking, but I'm sure I'll appreciate the length if I ever have a buddy that needs it. The regs themselves are worth the price. BCD: I am 5"11 150lbs and I got a medium. Its a little big on me and a small would have been a better size. I like the integrated weight system, and the pockets are huge! My BCD doesn't inflate evenly (hence the four star), and I have to do the wiggle to move the air around for even inflation. I don't have any gear that could be causing this issue, my last dive I dove with no extra attachments and still had the issue. Dive computer: Great dive computer with a big button. It's not intuitive as claimed, and requires a small learning curve. The dive computer is so important, so reading the user manual is a must anyway. Beside that, I really like the watch and will probably stick with Mares in the future. Just FYI, make sure you buy the dive computer data cord (sold separately) if you want to download your data. The size of the screen is about the size of the top of a soda can, so a little bulky.
