Excellent collar, great quality
Excellent quality as expected. Please read extensively about the proper use of this collar before using it on your dog if you have not read up on it before. The correct position is very high up on the neck and appears counterintuitive.

Game changer for walking my hyper JRT
This collar and brand was recommended my my dog trainer and I didn’t want to send $45 for a prong collar so I tried a few other and they were too bulky and hard to clip and unclip but this one worked perfectly for my and my pups. From the moment I put the collar on my Jack Russel terrier he’s a different dog no more pulling and correction is a lot easier without having to put any pressure on my pups. Like the collar black for it matches my pups coats. It seams confortable to him and once you get the hang of clipping and un clipping it’s easy breezy. Worth every penny. I must have to stop your dog from leash pulling

If you don't have one, get one.
Check out upstate training academy on YouTube for how to videos with these... and how they should FIT your dog. These should NOT be loose. That's how I found this brand actually. Check out the size guide before you buy....I ended up buying one that was too small before and had to order more links for it. I needed a second one and got this. I love so much about these. They are easy to use... yes they are harder than a quick hook, but they should be. They give you so much control. They make training a breeze and I'm new at training my dogs with these. If you correct with these properly all of your problems with your dog will vanish. I have a 90lb pit lab mix that pulled so bad we could never walk him. I wish I had educated myself sooner. This changed things COMPLETELY. My husband couldn't even walk him on a regular leash. Now, he gets excited and just whines. If he pulls to sniff I just give a quick small jerk on the leash and he stops in his tracks. He will still try to put occasionally but I just have to give the correction again and he starts watching for my direction again. He's a very high energy, excited, strong dog and this tamed him. He sees his lead is excited to go on a walk. We got a new dog from the shelter... she's a little mini pit. Half the size of her brother. She's more scared of things and skidding. Walking her was a nightmare. She would just sit and not move because she didn't like being forced to do anything because of her fear. It was more difficult to train her with this collar than her brother, but it worked. 2 quick corrections and she's no longer laying down... she's walking with us. She learned heel after 1 very long walk. That wouldn't have happened in 100 walks without this collar. The spinning loop on this doesn't make a difference to me. I have one with it and one without. If I was a trainer or very serious about training it might make a difference, but I walk at a state park on trails and give my dogs more freedom with the leash length so it doesn't really matter to have that swivel.

Love it!!
Love it!! It’s the perfect size for my 48-lb cattle dog. I’m currently going through the initial training stage and he’s responding very well to it. I also have a safety clip to attach to his flat collar as well. And I bought a pack of three extra prongs since this since was a little too small on him to be fitted correctly behind the ears. Super excited to start training him gradually! A prof trainer recommended the gentle leader for him but he hated that on his face and would rub his face into every surface he could. With the prong, it feels like a regular collar, but gives him a tap on the shoulder every time he breaks heel, lunges at other dogs, etc. also,The quality is great too. It is easy to remove and put on, though I can tell it might fall off easily one day, which is why you should always have a safety clip with any kind of training tool. Unlike other reviews, mine did not come with a “made in Taiwan” tag, only a “made in Germany” tag so that made me happy as well.

Unsafe and Poor Quality
The collar stains my dog’s neck area black, and the marks are difficult to remove, especially since he has light cream-colored fur. Another significant issue is that the links have separated at least four times, causing him to get loose. This is very concerning, and we’re fortunate he didn’t run into traffic and got hit by car, or ran after another dog. Overall, I’m disappointed with the product and am currently looking for a higher-quality collar.

Good product
Herm Sprenger makes a quality product. This a great size for my shepherd. I don’t care for the larger bulky collar.Con: it has fallen off a few times while walking my dog.
