The media could not be loaded. I used the white food coloring to color my buttercream for a wedding cake. I wanted it to be as white as possible. I added just a hint of purple of a different brand (very tiny dot) which is to neutralize the yellow from the butter, this is typically what I do with when making white buttercream. I’ve used other white food coloring in conjunction with the tiny bit of purple but I really feel like this one brought out the whitest white so far. I was really happy with it. Highly recommend although I would add the hint of purple as well if you’re using natural butter!

A very little of this coloring product goes a long, long way. Use sparingly. I was worried about it imparting an off flavor, but I could not detect any flavor in my icings from having added it.

I used white food color to make my royal icing brighter. It made my icing super white.

I was told that if you don’t use Wilton white color your candy apples will have white specks on them. At first I did see the white specks in the candy mixture and I was like omg this is going to be a disaster. But once the candy mixture boils and gets hot enough (300-320) the white specks dissolved. So don’t let anyone discourage you. Use what you can afford and what you have on hand. Practice using different whites.
