⚙️ Unleash Precision Control with Every Turn!
The PEMENOL PWM Motor Driver is a versatile speed controller designed for DC motors, operating within a voltage range of 5V to 24V and supporting a maximum current of 15A. It features a power-off memory function to retain settings, a soft start function to protect the motor, customizable duty ratios, and a digital rotary encoder for precise speed adjustments.

Great PWM controller with an intuitive interface.
The media could not be loaded. This motor controller is very easy to set up with its screw terminals and easy to use with its minimalist interface. The single rotary encoder changes the duty cycle, which is displayed on the LED display and short pressing it toggles the output which is indicated by the green led on top.Its easier compared to lots of push buttons. There is a solder terminal for an optional external on/off switch which can be connected to a momentary switch, shorting it seemed to toggle the output.I liked that it can be used out of the box without tweaking any settings, the frequency was set to 20KHz.Long pressing the rotary switch gets it into the settings mode, where the lo/hi duty cycle can be set along with the frequency. In the settings mode, short presses cycles between the 3 settings and a long press gets it out of settings; see the associated video.Once the duty cycle limits are set, turning the rotary switch doesn't get the duty cycle below or above the limits. The output PWM seemed very clean on the scope with no noticeable spikes or jitters. The soft start feature is good too, see the attached video how it slowly increases the duty cycle to the set value.I tried it with some 12v LED strips which worked great without any flickers and I used it with a 12V, 5A motor for a small drill press it worked down to 16% without any buzzing. There was no noticeable heating of the components after 10mins of use with the motor and an hour on a 50cm (1.5A) LED strip. The only thing I missed was a step adjustment setting, the fixed 1% increment takes a lot of turns to change through a wide range. Overall a great buy for controlling high load motors and fans.

Good Motor Controller for the Money
The media could not be loaded. [9/29/2020 My mistake, accidentally posted to the wrong item several days ago] Just received the PEMENOL Motor Speed Controller. Hooked it up to a 30V 10 A DC power supply to check it out. Powered up fine when I got the power supply hooked up. The LED display is easy to read. The unit output is switched by the control knob by pushing it in. There's an LED above the knob to indicate on or off. The knob has smooth indents as you turn it, indicating the PW percentage on the LED display. It goes from 0 to 100. Don't know what the PWM frequency is. I didn't hook it up to my oscilloscope. I ultimately wanted to use the controller for a 24V gear motor, but I tried it on several other DC motors first. I tried a regular 6V DC motor it was able to control the motor very smoothly up to 100% modulation, except at really low pulse widths. Probably just too short of a voltage on time for DC motor dynamics, not a problem with the controller itself. Next I hooked up my 24V DC gear motor that runs nominally at 1000 rpm and 24VDC. The motor controller was able to again control the speed smoothly from about 15 to 100% modulation. Looks like it will work great for adding speed control between a fixed DC power supply and a lot of DC motors. Very useful and easy to connect.

Works well for my project.
I only hope it will last a good while. The only thing i disliked was the pcb mounted screw terminal , well the position of it made it harder to use . If i had time i would desoldered it and solder new wire leads to the board and drill a hole through the back cover for the wire leads . Maybe next time on another project if i need another ill probably do just that. I also dont like that when it receives power its already in the 'on' state . You either have to push the button to power it off or turn it all the way down to 000 after each use so its off when it recieves power .

Perfect for hot wire foam cutter
Although this is a motor controller, it also works great for making a hot wire foam cutter. The dc pulse width modulation allows for control of the temperature of a nichrome wire when connected to a 12-20v 2a dc power supply. Push in the knob and hold for a second or two and you can set a lower and upper limit for pulse width to avoid overheating the nichrome wire. UseTEMCo Nichrome 60 Series Wire 28 Gauge 50 Ft Resistance AWG ga, also from Amazon. The connections on this device allow for easy hook up of appropriately thick wire like lamp cord for connecting power supply and other circuit wiring. Looks pretty cool also. Hot wire cutters are dangerous and easily burn through skin- use with care!

Too young to smoke
I had the product connected correctly. It worked for perhaps a total of 5 minutes run time staggered in three separate 2 minute runs. On the third run it started smoking. Input 12VDC driving small low amperage brushed motor for a stir plate. Didn't return it nor ask for money back. Just bought a different PWM from Amazon at roughly the same cost. No issues with new PWM with 2 dozen plus run times pushing an hour of total use. I notice the new PWM I purchased has beefy heat syncs. No led display but who cares it works. I do not feel it is appropriate to list the brand name of the working unit but you have been warned. This is only the 2nd negative review I have written over many years and many purchases. 1st negative review was over a shipping address change that was clearly done post ordering so I'm not a person to write negative product reviews so heed my words. As most know products do not always meet stated specs but I let those slide. Could I have just received a one off defective unit? Perhaps but judging from what I know about PWM's I not confident otherwise I would have asked for a replacement rather than simply moving on. Personally I wish all negative reviews of any product would also state how often that review writer posts negative reviews. I feel that is important in weighing the veracity of the comment. Perhaps Amazon could attach such a number or at least give the writer the ability to select the number vs the percentage of purchases. I suspect a less than glorious post written by a non complaining type carries more weight than the contrary.
