Will this work WELL for spraying Diatomaceous earth?

These dusters work best if you put a couple marbles or pennies or something like that to keep dust loose and only fill around half full.

How do you use it? It does not come with any instructions at all.

No instructions but self explanatory once you get one in your hands, simply put your powder in the container and the the sides are flexible - kinda like an accordion so all you do is depress the container and the powder comes out the nozzle. Great product, i read some people put a coin like a nickel inside the container to help keep the powder from clumping together - like the ball bearing you hear in a spray paint can. Hope that helps. This unit has very good build quality as well for the price.

I received this today and it has a powder already in the duster?!? What is it that is in there?

It should not have any powder it is most likely a return.

Fit for the purpose

Nothing negative to write about it. Please read the reviews before buying to know its limitations and capabilities. I am using it to spray Diatomaceous Earth (DE). Works OK. Sometimes it puts out blobs but generally it sprays as a fine dust as long as you do fill more than 1/2 of the volume. Much better than spraying by hand.
