GEEETECH PLA Glow 3D Printer Filament,Glow in The Dark Filament 1.75mm, 1KG Spool (2.2 LBS) 3D Printing Filament for 3D Printers, Luminous Blue

Only had my printer for a few weeks and learning more each day. This is the forth Geeetech filament I have purchased and I am not disappointed. It arrived next day, boxed and vacuum sealed in the usual fashion. The wrapping of the filament on the reel appears good with no tangles or any other issues. The Luminous Blue PLA Filament which I bought looks strange on the reel but once printed gives a good finish. Printed 200 degrees. 0.16 layer height with a initial bed temp of 60. No adhesion problems at all and prints look amazing and glows brightly in the dark. Looks like the family are getting glow in the dark key rings for Christmas I would recommend this and will buy more once it runs out.

Usual great quality packaging and performance so far. No extrusion problems and one of the concerns with special effect PLA filaments is the impurities can sometimes can cause clogging but Im happy to report no such issues. Some folks suggest using a wider nozzle than normal and while I havent had to do that I do think thats a useful tip. I did have to print at slightly higher than normal PLA temps to make this adhere well but eventually found 205c temp with bed at 65c to be a good result for my Geeetech 3 in 1 mixing printer i.e. I was able to print with a 0%,0% and 100% mix setting. The main reason for this particular filament is the glow effect and Im quite happy with the soft glow I get. Previously I bought the blue and now trying the green. Another tip I learned is that zapping the spool under UV light does seem to slightly improve the glow, so worth doing that.

This filament arrived next day and I've come to expect from Amazon. It was well packaged and evenly wound on the spool at a nice tension. The fun started when I printed with this using my standard PLA settings 215 deg for initial layer and 210 deg with a bed temp of 60 deg. I just could get it to stick to the plate or print nicely, after taking the opportunity to give my much used printer a service and a couple of temp towers later I found that 210 deg for the initial layer and 205 deg for the rest with 4 layers for the shell produced great results. The fillamant absorbs light and glows for hours after with a great blue colour, my camera couldn't do it justice. Highly recommended and well worth the effort.

Bought this to print some things for a friend. As with any luminous filament it needs to be charged by sunlight or better UV light. I have only managed to test this for short periods so don't know how long it keeps charged, hence only four stars. That said, it does glow with a very decent level of brightness.

This filament was really easy to work with, printed out some beautiful prints, adhered to the surfaces perfectly, requires some good sunlight to charge up the glow in the dark. Other than that this is genuinely a brilliant filament. would recommend this filament again!

I've spent about two whole days trying to get this to print decent models, but I have a failure rate of about 90% - it just won't adhere to the print bed. I'm quite a seasoned 3D Printer user, so I have been trying a range of different temperature settings, but nothing seems quite right. I've managed about 5 models that worked, and 45 that just turned into a stringy mess right from the start. Won't be using this again, sadly too much wasted to even try returning it for a refund. As soon as I put my old eSun PLA+ back in, everything is good, so I know it's the filament and not me!

Being relatively new to 3D printing, I was a little sceptical about luminous filaments, as I had heard that they can be pretty tricky to master. That said, I took the plunge and decided to try out the Geeetch luminous blue (Bought from HengDa-EU on Amazon). I can genuinely say that I'm happy with the results of my first couple of prints. A must for anyone would be to first print a heat tower to determine the nozzle temperature for this filament on their printer. Geeetch recommend 210 - 240°C and mine ended up at 210. My parameters for the star print were: nozzle temp 210°C, bed temp 60°C, print speed 50mm for the first few layers, then upped to 80mm for the remainder. Glow intensity is dependent on how long the printed part has been exposed to light and dense the walls are, I.e. if it is a relatively dense print that is exposed to light or a light source for most of the day, it will generally glow brighter for longer. From what I have been told the green is a little "brighter", however I cannot confirm this as I have never tried it. All in all I think it's a great filament, delivery was very speedy and service through Amazon and the seller HenDa-EU floorless.

Works nicely, but the glow isn't very bright when the sun goes down. A numb glow :D

Un filament très intéressant. Facile à imprimer. Il présente la particularité d'être Fluorescent lorsqu"il est eclairé avec de la lumière noire et une fois la lumière éteinte, il est phosphorescent, avec une belle lumière bleue. Très joli effet. L'impression est facile, bonne adhérence et très bon rendu. Très satisfait Update 2021: apres avoir épuiser ma bobine bleue, je viens de prendre une verte. Toujours aussi satisfait du résultat. Facile a imprimer et très bon rendu.

Filamento acquistato per la stampa di dettagli di arredamento, ma anche per mero sfizio. Sin qui, con già almeno 70 metri di filo utilizzati sui circa 330 a disposizione (la spola è da 1Kg) posso certamente ritenermi più che soddisfatto. Allego alla recensione qualche foto per rendere meglio l'idea di ciò che, se state leggendo, state considerando di acquistare. La luminescenza blu è davvero bellissima, forte e duratura in maniera direttamente proporzionale a quanto tempo l'oggetto stampato ha trascorso esposto alla luce naturale/artificiale. Per stampare ho utilizzato una Ender 3, impostando le temperature a 205°C/60°C. Il portachiavi è stato stampato con riempimento 100% mentre per il vaso ho impostato 3 layer per le pareti e 0% per il riempimento. Il risultato parla da sé! Super! Altri fattori da considerare sono la facilità di stampa e il tempo che va dedicato alla post-produzione. Grazie allo stringing quasi nullo e all'oggetto che esce dal piatto della stampante praticamente pronto all'uso, si risparmia davvero un sacco di tempo. Aggiungo che, fino ad ora, non si sono evidenziati problemi di flusso (sovra/sotto estrusione), cosa che fa presumere che la tolleranza d'errore nel diametro del filo sia stata rispettata. Mi auguro che la recensione vi sia stata utile!

Das Filament kommt astrein verpackt, mit einem extra Beutel, um es danach erneut zu verstauen. Sehr löblich! Die wicklung ist super und die Spule passt, obwohl sie etwas schmaler ist, sehr gut in das Ams von Bambu Lab. Zu Beachten ist nur, dass die glow in the dark filament, egal von welchem hersteller etwas spröde sind, also Vorsicht bei der Handhabung in Multicolour Systemen welcher Art. Es lässt sich bereits mit den Standard Einstellungen astrein drucken. Was mich persönlich erstaunt hatte, war die Leuchtkraft direkt aus dem Drucker heraus. Das Bild ist direkt nach dem Stück entstanden, kein Sonnenlicht, nur die LED vom Drucker. Trotzdem eine solch starke Farbe, sehr toll. Dies wird die Halloween Deko dieses Jahr prima ergänzen und sicher folgen noch einige Teile. Auch der Semi transparente Look im Tageslicht ist sehr schön anzusehen. So kann man mit dem infill spielen und im Tageslicht diverse Muster erzeugen. 5 Sterne, wird sicher noch öfter gekauft!

Me ha sorprendido la calidad del filamento, ha sido muy sencillo de usar y no he tenido problemas de adherencia. Además el brillo que tiene es muy azul y queda genial, el material con luz es un poco traslúcido, lo que hace mole más aún. Sin duda volveré a comprar cuando se me acabe, muy recomendable

El filamento viene perfectamente embalado y enrollado, sin cruces. Imprime muy bien. En mi caso he hecho pruebas a 60º la cama y a 220º el filamento y no he tenido ningun tipo de problema. Lo que más me ha sorprendido es lo que luce en la oscuridad! Necesita tener luz directa para poder brillar luego. El azul es intenso y le da un toque muy original a las impresiones. En resumen, un buen filamento que no tiene nada que envidiar al resto de las marcas.
