Great for a small dining area for 2
For the price this set is a great bargain and the materials and construction are better than more expensive furniture I've purchased (like the $250 TV stand with some of the flimsiest, cheapest "wood" I've ever seen ...). I may be wrong but think all pieces are actual wood, not composite (the top may be composite but I don't so -- I haven't scratched/gouged it [yet] sufficiently to tell). The set is smallish (sorta reminds me of a "kiddy" set) but definitely large enough for adults and quite sturdy. The table easily holds 2 place settings and a couple of serving dishes or could seat 4 without additional pieces. The table is a snap to assemble. The drop-leaves are very stable when up and, when down, the table has a small overall footprint (I live alone with a tiny kitchen/dining area so appreciate the flexibility of using the "small" setup daily). The chairs fit under the table when unused so, again, for a small space the set is ideal. The chairs are also easy to assemble and surprisingly sturdy, also. My only "complaint" is I wasn't sure where to screw the padded seat cushions to the chair bottoms so just winged it -- so far they seem stable and the cushions show no indication of coming loose. I haven't sat on them for long periods so can't judge how comfortable they are in that respect but for a 15 - 30 minute stint they're fine (I think another review stated the backs don't provide enough support but they accommodate my 5'9" frame).

Love
Love the table. It’s tiny for my 500 sq ft studio but sturdy and looks nice. Love that it can be folded in or out depending on the look that you want and the curve of the chairs fit like they are hugging the curve of the table. I like it so much I didn’t take any stars off for the assembly. Says it takes an hour but took more like 3 (I was watching Bloodline so this might’ve slowed me down). A few complicated looking pictures to show assembly. I had to stare at them for awhile. I think it would be harder to make those pictures than describe it more simply with a few words but what do I know. The table was easy to put together but the chairs were a headache (not sure if I can use profanity here but I sure did use some while I was trying to assemble them). I did the first chair the night I did the table and the second chair the next day cause there’s only so much a girl can deal with in one night. If I had to do it again I would. Super cute.

I'M AMAZED!!
I would've given it a 5 STAR RATING however, the chairs weren't the color as displayed in the stock photo. I ended up with a SANDY BEIGE NOT THE OFF WHITE CREAM as depicted. You may come across these really huge heavy duty staples in the wood underneath the table. They were used to secure these thick plastic straps. Had to leave them be to avoid damaging the wood any further. I cut as close as I could to hide it from sight. I will say this though, one of my close friends came by and boy did he put my chair to the test. HE'S close to 230 lbs and he was ROCKING back and forth ON THE TWO BACK LEGS of the chair. It was able to take all of his weight. ITS SO DURABLE. I'M AMAZED!!! I put this thing together all alone with these long pointy solar fake girlie nails. Just finished working out and was already tired when I started. Took me a little over an hour and a half to get it all done. So it should be a cake walk for anyone without fake nails who's just got up from a nap lol Here's some BEFORE & AFTER photos i'm 5 feet 8 inches tall, so this table is suitable for the tall and the small. I know I always wish people would put some sort of a visual comparison aid near the things I'm interested in buying. So I placed a RULER near the CHAIR LEG. Hope that helps a bit. This has greatly improved the decor in my apartment. I finally look like I'm all moved in. Love having my friends over now to break bread with. I'm HOSTESS EXTRAORDINAIRE now

Look no further.
Have been using this for one day now. I can say: -Chairs and Table are sturdy. -Shipping weight was over 50 lbs. It seems to be real wood, not compressed particle stuff. -Bigger than I was expecting. I'm 6'4" and the chairs are small, but not too bad. -Seat is 16.5" tall (to the padded seat part). I couldn't find that dimension anywhere, however it seems to be just fine for me (6'4"). -Packaging took a while to open. No damage to the contents. -Table was easy: attach 4 legs with a washer, lock washer, and nut and you are done. -Chairs were more involved, a second person would have been useful, but nothing too difficult by myself. -Took me about an hour to an hour and a half to open and assemble. Probably about 20 minutes of that was opening the box. -Includes necessary tools, except a Phillips screw driver. The Nuts on the table seem to be a slightly non standard size and were precarious to torque down. -Chairs took more time, but was manageable for anyone who has a moderately mechanically inclined mind. -Finish is probably a little prone to scratching. -I would not recommend for more than 2 people. -Perfect for a small apartment. -GREAT Value. -Time will tell how it holds up. Will update if the table or chairs fail on me.

DO NOT BUY!!
DO NOT BUY! The chairs are very poorly constructed with cheap material! Purchased for my 90 year old mother in assisted living so she had a table to eat at in her small room. After having it for two weeks she sat on it one evening and the chair broke! Fortunately she caught herself and was not injured. Keep in mind she only weighs 120 pounds. I reached out to the company and they basically said too bad, so sad, call Amazon. I had only requested a refund for the chairs as the table seems to be a bit better quality and hasn’t broken yet. So I did just that and the customer service rep at Amazon, Shahin, was awesome. He provided a partial refund immediately and apologized for the vendor’s poor customer service. I will not purchase anything from this company ever again and strongly recommend you look elsewhere.
