HAIFUAN D6300 Bluetooth Digital Door Lock, Satin Nickel,Open by Card,Code,Key& APP, Compatible with Alexa via Gateway (HFAD6300B-R)

I wanted a smart lock for a front storage box, for deliveries etc. I initially bought a popular brand, which looks good, but unfortunately does not work with the door I have, and the space constraints. I came across this one which ticks every box, but was more expensive than the popular brand! I'm writing this review because this solves a problem for me. Seller/manufacturer did not influence me in any way.The box comes with everything you need to install the lock on a new door (as opposed to the other brand, which requires you to buy/have the latch already). The finish and quality is great. The installation process was not complicated either for a DIY-er installing a lock for the first time. Due to space constraints, I had to saw off about an inch off the back handle (don't need it).Pros:* Box has everything you need, except 4 AA batteries. Easy to install as well.* Sturdy, good finish and quality. Looks like it would hold up well to some wet weather, time will well.* Physical key, app unlock, included RF tag unlock - all just work.* Has all the features one can expect from a smart lock in the app - generate multiple temporary keys - timed, one-time etc. multiple admin keys, send e-keys to other users registered via the app etc. Another aspect I particularly liked was that the app connects by bluetooth, not over the network.* Has voice prompts through out the set up process, key presses, different tones for lock/unlock etc.* The app is friendly and is easy to use. App has the full history of lock/unlock activities. Multiple unlock attempts show up as an alarm.Neutral/too soon to tell:* The rubber seal looks good enough, but haven't put it to the rain test yet. Where I installed, there is some rain cover, so I'm not too worried.* I installed the batteries just this morning. No idea about the battery life.* The documentation says network operation (remotely) is also supported if you get a hub. I don't have a need for this, and don't plan to get any kind of hub.* The app TTLock appears to be Chinese. I'm not bothered, especially if it does not require my network password to use (I had this for a smart light and a smart heater!)Cons:* Minor: The buttons on the front need to be pressed a bit harder I thought. Not bad enough to dock a star though.

Installation of this is non-trivial, as you might expect. You’ll need some decent woodworking skills and tools. It’s unlikely to line up with existing holes although you could check by viewing the installation video (with really annoying voiceover!). Search for “youtube I6-JyoaAZgo”The printed instructions aren’t great, and are poorly translated, as is so often the case with products from the Far East. Take plenty of time at each step to check that they make sense before proceeding. At least they do supply a good template.Once installed, the lock looks smart, seems well made and works well. You get a sense of quality when using it, although only time will tell how well it performs long-term. The ttlock app makes it easy to program and operate the lock. I haven’t tried it with Alexa.At the current £129, I reckon this makes a good buy. I installed it at my elderly father’s house but now plan to buy one for myself.

I like that I can set a pass code and it's timed, therefore not having to go to the property.

Welcome to the future!!! This is fantastic I've put it on my side gate and can open it via my phone!!! How cool is that ... The codes etc work but by my phone and ... Wait for it ALEXA!!
